you put peeled potato in it for a while, than take it off, the potato will absorb all the salt.

Too much salt in my chicken soup. How do I reduce it?


Add unsalted chicken STOCK, not broth. Broth is already salted, which will not help you. Stock is not seasoned, so it will dilute the salt (and other seasonings), but keep the soup from becoming watery.

How do you make watercress soup?


1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
1 large white potato(12 ounce) peeled, and diced into 1/2 inch pieces ( 2 cups).
3 cups low sodium chicken broth(you will add your own salt later in this recipe)
3 cloves garlic thinly sliced
3 bunches (14 ounces) watercress, washed and coarsely chopped( thick ribs and stems removed and discarded).
In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, add oil and garlic, cook til sizzlingand fragrant(about 1 minute). Stir in potatoes and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Cook 1 minute. Add stock and 1 1/2 cups of water, bring to a boil. Turn heat down and simmer for 5 minutes. Stir in watercress. Return heat to medium-high. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat again and simmer for 1 minute. Add salt and pepper to taste. This soup is typically served with lemon wedges.

How to make chicken soup


1.-rinse the chicken
2.-set the chicken in a pot
3.-put onion, garlic,coriander, mint (very few), salt
4.-pour some water (till you cover the chicken)
5.-put it on fire till the chicken get cooked but not too much
6.-from time to time taste the soup in case you need to add pepper or salt

I have an Intex Ultra frame 18x48 with the salt water system, I haven't added salt in a while and keep getting a high salt alert and I add water frequently because of the evaporation (which is well water)....


When water evaporates, it leaves the salt behind. Depending on your well water, it may also already contain salt - adding yet more salt to your pool each time you top up...
Perhaps try emptying your pool (all or partially) & starting again - don't think the old trick of sticking a potato into an over-salted soup to absorb the excess (& removing it before serving, of course) will work on a pool!

Does anyone have an easy chicken soup recipe for me?


Chicken soup is one of the easiest things to make.
Take a whole cut up chicken, remove the skin and place it in a large pot. Fill the pot with water and two large pinches of salt and one of pepper. Add 3 chopped carrots, 2 chopped cerery and some parsley. Sometimes, if I want the soup to be a little thicker I'll add a cut up potato that will dissolve and thicken the broth. Cover it and let it simmer for 3 to 6 hours.
