Wine- or brandy-soaked cheesecloth will help; I used to use it to age my Christmas fruitcakes, which were also wrapped in plastic bags and placed in airtight containers. However, it may take a couple weeks or more, and you might ocassionally need to change the cloth with a fresh one. Check every few days to see if it has dried out.

SOURCE: agitator making clicking noise when washing clothes; clothes wrapping around agitator

Hi,
If this a whirlpool brand washer, there are sone parts bad in the agitator it's self. These parts are called dogs and they make the agitator rachet so that the top half only goes one direction. Does this sound like what you are experiencing? If so, let me know and I can assist you further.

Thanks
Vic

SOURCE: do i need to wrap my ham in foil to keep the ham

I wouldn't recommend it unless the guide says you can. In a roaster you would add stock of water, or the roast will keep itself moist without foil. No foil needed.

If my cake was over cooked will wrapping it in cheese clot soaked in port help to make it moist.?

Hello, Lillian -

If you will be the only person eating the port soaked cake, then, go ahead. Not everyone will like to partake of the port.

Instead, I suggest following the instructions here to moisten an over done cake with simple syrup:

Can I freeze Brie cheese.

To freeze a wedge or block of Brie cheese: Cut the cheese into portions no larger than 1/2 pound each, and wrap tightly in heavy-duty aluminum foil or plastic freezer wrap, or place inside a heavy-duty freezer bag.

I want to bulk buy a block of cheese mild cheddar from Cosco wholesaaler and would like to know how long it would last in the fridge wrapped up or can freeze it thanks x

it will last indefinitely wrapped properly (saran wrap) in fridge, you might have to cut a little mold off, that's no problem. your problem would be putting cheese in freezer.

Can I freeze hors d' oeuvres with cream cheese wrapped in flour tortillas?

I would say "yes".
Things that don't freeze well, according to Deborah Taylor-Hough, author of Frozen Assets: Lite & Easy (Champion Press, 2001), are egg-, milk- or cream-based sauces, instant rice, raw salad ingredients, dishes with dried toppings (store the toppings separately), mayonnaise unless it's mixed in and used as part of a sauce, cottage cheese, hard-cooked eggs and fried foods, which will lose their crispness.

The key is how you store and freeze them...go to the attached link:

Can i cook two boxes of cake mix together in one ten inch square tin, to make a large cake?

According to Duncan Hines - no. One box of mix will cook properly in a 10x2 pan assuming it is the same height as your regular cake pans. Here is some conversion info that I copied from one of their mix boxes: 1 box of mix yields 5 1/2 cups of batter. 5 1/2 cups can be cooked in a 10x2 pan and should take about 40 - 50 minutes. You can make 2 cakes and stack them for a big cake but all that batter in one pan probably won't cook right. Two boxes of mix need a 15 x 2 round pan or an 11 x 15 x 2 rectangle pan. I hope that helps!

Do we have to have water in the oven at all times? If so how do we cook cakes?

I once read an article about someone cooking their meal on their car's engine. They would wrap it up in aluminum foil, cruise to their destination while the food cooked on the exhaust manifold. When they arrived, their meal was ready. Was that by any chance you?
