It is defective. you should not use a steam press (make and model unknown) when it has a leak and water could possibly contact the electric power circuit. this could be a life threatening health issue.

Lime scale build up inside the elementchambers causing poor heat transfer to the water the steam being cooler thAn usual condenses back into water it reaches the porthole the steam is ejected from and you get this leaking effect steam and water together your need to professionally get the device descaled

I just bought this iron in March 2015. The iron leaks water all of my clothes when I press the steam button. I have it set on the highest setting for iron and steam.

Hi,
Increasing the temperature setting can ease this issue, however it is important to consider the type of fabric you are ironing.

1st option: Fill the iron up, and let the iron stand as the iron heats for little while before using. This may allow more of the water to be converted to steam.

2nd option: You could try using deionised/distilled water in your iron.

If you find that the water leaks out sporadically, it may be worth pushing the steam button once or twice before applying it to clothing.

Tefal iron steam generator

Steam irons can become clogged with mineral deposits. Use distilled water in the iron to minimize these deposits.
To clean the iron , use 1/2 white vinegar and 1/2 water. pour in iron and place iron on steam. The iron may require a few cleanings.

My Laurastar Premium Steam Iron is letting out lots of water with the steam Why/

see this steps and fix it. God bless you
f the iron heats but steams improperly, inspect the soleplate and clean the vents (see below) and flush sediment out of the steam chamber (see below). If the iron produces too much or too little heat, test the . Also test and, if needed, adjust calibration of the thermostat .
If the iron does not spray properly, inspect and clean the nozzle (see below).
If the iron leaks or spits, clean the steam vents, nozzle, and tank.
If the iron sticks to fabric, clean or repair the soleplate. If the iron stains fabric, clean the soleplate, clean the tank with a commercial cleaner, and use distilled or filtered water.

I have a Bosch Steam Generator Sensixx B25L. It has suddenly started leaking water from the back out of the plate. This only happens when the steam button is pressed and the handlegets very hot with it. ...

I just fixed mine - it had exactly the same problem.

First, though, check it's not within the Bosch TWO year guarantee; if it is, they'll either fix or replace it.

If it's not under guarantee then the problem is probably the rubber tubing that connects the external steam tube to the hotplate. You'll need to dismantle the iron. Mine had split right next to the spring clip that holds it on. I shortened it, clipped it back on and all is now well.

Try holding the iron well below the base with the cord straight and pressing the steam button, this will release any airlock caused by a changing the filter
