SOURCE: Lorex eco 130 can not get to menu, screen shows Lorex page

There should be a paper clip size hole somewhere on the back of the unit. If you depress the button in there it should be the reset. The problems sounds to me more of a hard drive issue though.

Testimonial: "I could not find a reset hole on the back or front of the unit. I also thought it was a hard drive failure, so replaced the drive. The system does not appear to see the hard drive the HHD light on the front is not on, but it was not on before I replaced the drive. All connections are tight. I was thinking there was a combination of holding the menu button plus another to reset the unit. Thanks in advance for any help"

How to fix system shutting down and going into alarm

I experienced issues with my (2) year old, Lorex LHV2000 series sytem, shutting down completely and going into alarm. After turning on the system from a cold start, it would run perfectly for about 15 minutes, then for no obvious reason, shut down and go into alarm. After immediately rebooting the system, it might shut down right away or perhaps a short time later, but would ultimately repeat the symptoms described. My thoughts were that the system temperature may be causing the problem.
I unplugged the system from the electrical outlet and removed the cover. I found that the tiny VGA processor fan was not working. I cleaned it but not able to restore its function. I ordered a new fan (Ebay est $4.00, free shipping), installed it, and the system is now working flawlessly.

Lorex-edge model no lh314 series will not record and beeps and says hdd is not installed

You need top open the top of the case by removing the screws and check to see if the hard drive is operating (it will be warm to the touch and may be making a slight noise). If the hard drive is not working, verify that it is plugged in. If the hard drive is bad, you can replace it with a SATA hard drive. The Lorex system will see the new hard drive and ask you to format it for use with the system.
