I have a Simple Human 14 oz sensor Soap Dispenser that doesn't dispense and has a constant blinking red light. I changed the battery and added more soap. What else can I do?

This is what I found in the Simplehuman FAQ's. I had to wait about 30 minutes for the light to stop blinking, but it seemed to work for me.

If the pump is unresponsive or the blue light is flashing, fresh batteries should resolve this issue. Please power off the pump completely. Once the pump is turned off, remove the old batteries. Please wait for the pump to reset (until the flashing light stops and preferably letting it rest overnight) before you install the new ones.

When you replace the batteries, take a look at the springs that the batteries are pressed against. One of my springs had been bent and I don't think it was making proper contact with the positive end of one of my batteries. Also make sure you press the battery plate down manually before you screw it down. This will insure that batteries make proper contact with the plate.

Powering off the pump completely and then turning it back on solved my problem. Thanks a lot for the tip.

Solution to blinking red light no despensing and new batteries...Turn the pump off. rinse reservoir with hot water. Use bulb end of turkey baster. Form a tight seal over reservoir and force air in. This will force the hot water thru the system and flush out the thick soap. Repeat till clear. Then turn the pump and continue to flush using sensor. Works perfectly!!!!!!!!! Make sure to thin out your dish soap in the future.

I found a syringe that I have used for giving cats medicine. Filled it with HOT water and turned the unit upside down. I flushed the spout many times until the clog cleared and the water started flowing into the soap container. Then I ran it again, repeated the syringe action at the spout maybe 4 or 5 timed like this. Now it is working fine. There was a clog in the line.

I had the same problem where the red light would flash (as if battery was dead) and there was no sound of the pump trying to work. My issue was the the block plug (the part that plugs into the wall and where the cord is plugged into) was faulty. I used another plug and finally, I got a blinking blue "IM CHARGING" light! Now it works like a charm!

Unfortunately, I don't have a solution. However, I have the same problem. Only my blinking light is blue. This is the second dispenser I've had with this problem. I returned the previous one to the store where I purchased it. That was less than 6 months ago and now this one seems to be disfunctional too? I believe I paid about $40+ for it. Ridiculous.

Had the same issue where the dispenser wouldn't light up or dispense after putting in new batteries.

The problem I had was tightening the screw to the battery cover too firmly which was apparently changing the alignment of the contacts of the cover.

Loosen the screw up a little to make sure the battery cover isn't flexing and changing the angle at which they touch the batteries. Hope that helps!

Solution!!!!! to Simplehuman sensor soap dispenser with blinking red light no despensing of soap and new batteries. Rinse out soap with hot water. Fill reservoir with hot tap water. Use bulb end of turkey baster. Place on reservoir to form a tight seal. Force air into reservoir. Which will force the hot water thru the system unclogging the thick soap. Repeat this several times till clear of soap. Then turn on the unit and flush thru the rest of the hot water using the sensor till comes out nicely. Then fill with a thinned out soap. Good luck

How do I Install batteries in simple human soap dispenser

The hunt for batteries is over with the introduction of simplehuman's new rechargeable sensor soap pump. The newest sensor pump has a battery that recharges with a USB power adaptor, ensuring users of the product will have an "always-on" touch-free soap dispensing experience, every time. Do you have the port for the USB adapter on your unit? If so, you don't have to replace, just charge.

Blinking light

The issue is the dispensing unit you have is a sanitizer dispenser, not a soap dispenser. The adapter collar on the bottle is the issue. Soap dispensers use a GRY collar, sannitizers use an LBL collar. There should be a sticker on the dispensing unit that says "LBL" or "GRY". Try removing the collar from a sanitizer bottle and place it on your soap bottle......should work fine. In short, make sure your letter code on the bottle mathces the letter code on the dispenser.

Whirlpool quiet partner I soap dispenser won't close

Hi

Dishwashers use Bi-Metal strip to allow the dispenser to open/close. This strip when heat up causes the soap door spring to open up the dispenser. If this strip is not heated doesn't allow the door to open. The strip may not be getting 120V or maybe disconnected. Newer (plastic liner) dishwashers use a wax motor to open the soap dispenser. The plunger inside the wax motor slowly moves and pushes the plunger and door open. And, if this wax motor doesn't receive 120 volts, then it'll not work. Please check the voltage to the wax motor/Bi-metal strip; also inspect the connections to these.

Hope this helps...

My simple human sensor Soap Dispensor will not

Hi, you have this question in the wrong park of the site. But I did a quick google search and believe I may have found an answer for you. I'll copy and past what I found for you here. If this doesn't solve the issue you should probably repost this question

"In the spot where the soap dispenses, there is a very small plug which controls the flow which you need to gently pull out and release (not break off) in order to break the vacuum seal. This information is not included in the regular instructions, but rather is written on a small 2-inch square piece of paper in the box. I was getting very frustrated because I had "primed" the soap dispenser at least 30 times and nothing had come out. I noticed the small plug, and while looking through the box again found the small piece of paper with the additional instruction. After that, it worked great! I use a generic version of Soft Soap, and we find the lowest setting dispenses more than enough soap."
