SOURCE: The red cleaning light on my cuisinart coffee

Hello sandra_strat,
There are two possible issues, but easy to do. When decalcifying your unit the solution should be 2 parts water and 1 part vinegar. So if you have a 12 cup maker it would be 8 cups water and 4 cups vinegar. Complete the process with a pot or two of fresh water to rinse. Second, there may be a water filter stick that is removable. Open the lid and look for it in one of the corners, pull it out and remove the carbon filter there. (You can get a new on Amazon). Then replace the stick.
I hope this is a help for you. If it is please leave positive feedback for me. Thanks! NormanZ

I didn't think the D-link router actually had a clean light. ;)
my coffee pot flashes its light to let me know it needs cleaning. I just unplug it for a few seconds and the cleaning reminder goes away.

My cleaning light won't go off

You have to leave it unplugged for a long time like an hour. I thought mine was possessed because the manual says it has ONE MINUTE memory if the power goes off. I used a whole gallon of vinegar trying to get it to reset and I was angry so I unplugged it for 5 min/10 min/20 min and still it had the right time. I was almost going to take electrical tape and cover the darn light but I finally got it to stop after reading answers on FixYa. I have cleaned it many times before and this never happened but now I have learned not to keep wasting vinegar and just unplug for at least an hour. I was so happy that I was not the only one...whew.

Flashing "clean" light on my Cuisinart coffee maker--can't find my manual, sorry. Also, LOTS of steam, less coffee output than expected.

We had this problem. I can't remember all the details but we followed the manual's directions and ultimately the flashing light would come on again. We went through the same procedure a number of time over the day, and each time the self-clean light would go off, but then when we tried to make coffee it would do exactly as you described. Finally we gave up and uplugged it, ready to throw it in the garbage. But then, I was going to call Cuisinart's number (go to their web-site) and I thought I'd try it again so I could describe exactly what happened to the customer service rep. Guess what? It worked! I think what may have happened is, by unplugging it, we re-booted its computer. So try unplugging it and replugging it in.

The cleaning button keeps flashing after cleaning. I have cleaned this with water & vinegar several times, but can only make one or two pots of coffee before the cleaning button begins to flash again....

We have this problem as well. We simply clean it as directed once or twice with the vinegar and water mix and then unplug for an hour. This resets our machine for several weeks. Based on the number of comments I've seen on this issue, it seems that the "off" sensor doesn't work.

Clean light stays on,help me trouble shoot

Fill water reservoir with 1/3 carafe distilled white vinegar, 2/3 carafe water and hit the self-clean button - it will take about 35 mins to complete. When it is done, it will beep like it normally does when brewing regular coffee. Self-clean light should go off after this. If it doesn't, simply unplug the machine for 20 minutes or longer. The manual is available for your inspection on the Cuisinart website.
If your Cuisinart is one that is missing the Self-Clean function, just brew the vinegar and water like it is coffee by using the brew function.
