SOURCE: mabis automaic blood pressure cuff, pressure monitor

Dear Edward: Likely, either cuff not tight enough or not in correct location on your arm or not holding device at correct height. Make sure you use Lithium Ion batteries. Try it on someone else. Dr Ron Grassi,Jupiter,Florida.USA. www.DrGrassi.com 30ad4e8.jpg

My monitor pressure life source UA 767 show in display error cuf , what mean thats error

The Err CUF probably means that the blood pressure cuff isn't properly arranged on the arm. Check that the cuff is around the upper arm 1-2 cm above the elbow. The hose should be near the center of the elbow. Make sure that a rolled up shirt sleeve is not too tight. Next check that the indicator arrow is in the correct range when the cuff is firmly fastened.

Make sure that you are using the correct cuff for the user. There are different blood pressure cuffs (medium, large, wide-range) available for some blood pressure monitors. If the arrow doesn't line up in the indexed range, use a different blood pressure cuff for the unit.

I hope this helps. I used the information about the A&D Medical UA-767 for some of the trouble-shooting details. See https://medical.andonline.com/product/premium-blood-pressure-monitor/ua-767f and click on the Downloads tab to see the manual for this model. (I suspect the Life Source and A&D Medical products are extremely similar.)

Your blood pressure will always lower as you take later blood pressure readings. You will always be stressed taking the first one. You take three readings and take the lowest, which is nearly always the third one.

I am using a UA 767 digital bp monitor, and I am being told it is giving inaccurate readings, so I wondered how to calibrate it. Battery is full, everything else seems to be working, so I was at a loss.

The only way to recalibrate it, is to send it to the manufacturer. Generally, they do not charge for this service (except for shipping it to them). The reason they have to do it, is that they have to certify that the calibration is correct.

Contact the manufacturer before sending it, for any special instructions they may have.

Hope this helped you. Please let me know. Thanks.

I take 4 consecutive readings (within a minute) and get 4 widely varying readings. How do I get an accurate reading with this device?

4 consecutive readings in a minute? No wonder you're getting widely varying readings. Your wrist or arm is not having time to recover from the constriction of the cuff. Try doing only two and waiting at least 30 to 40 seconds in between.

The best way to do it, is take one reading in your left arm and the other in your right arm. If they match or are within a few points of each other, the cuff is probably accurate.

Also, on your next visit to your doctor, take your cuff with you. After they take your vital signs at the doctors office, properly apply your cuff and compare your cuff's reading with theirs. If they are within a few points of each other that's fine.
