SOURCE: batteries are dead can't open safe

I had the same problem. We finally located where the batteries were hidden. They were below the keypad, There is a silver, plastic cover that slides to the right to expose the 4 AA batteries. Hope this helps you.

SOURCE: need radio 'code' for 2000 montero sport with factory cd player

From Mitsubishi's site FAQ's

I need a radio code for my vehicle. How do I get this?
You will need to speak to your Dealer who can organise this on your behalf. You will be required to submit your details and proof of ownership.

By law FixYa can not provide this information.

SOURCE: sentry codes v260

You should have received two skeleton keys when you bought the safe. They will open the safe without the key AND without the code. If you don't have it, the only solution is to get help from Sentry. By following the instructions below, they will send you a skeleton key for your safe. First, find your safe’s Serial Number. The Serial Number is printed on the small label on the right side of safe (outside). Send this, a notarized letter(last name must be different) stating you are the safe’s owner, and a check or money order or $8.00 (U.S. funds) to:
Sentry Group Dept. 200
882 Linden Ave
Rochester, NY 14625-2784 If using a credit card (Visa/MasterCard only), call 1-800-828-1438.

How do I open a sentry s3877 safe when the battery is dead and safe is closed

The factory code combination to your electronic lock will remain in the memory of the unit - even if the batteries go dead. Any use programmed codes will be lost if the batteries lose power. The Sentry programmed factory code is always your default code.

If you do not know your factory code, you can follow this link for your combination retrieval:

I HAVE A SURESAFE20ES; BATTERY IS DEAD; WHERE DO I OPEN TO CHANGE THE BATTERY? IT'S PRETTY URGENT

You need to charge the battery...not change it. If you can get a charge into it try a factory default code like 7777 to try to reprogram the safe.

The batteries of my powersafe TR 36 are dead and I don't have any key. What can I do to open the safe? Urgent! Thank you in advance!

I know this post is months old, maybe you didn't open your safe yet or maybe someone else could use the advice.

The batteries are no inside the safe because of this reason, that you should be able to change them if they run dry.

Under the key panel is a long plastic panel. You can slide it to the right and underneath you find the battery compartment.

Locksmith recommend that all you might need is a new Sentry Safe battery pack to hold the batteries. As these sometimes short out from leaking batteries

Sentry safe S3877 have key and know combination but battery dead

Use paperclip to push in pin size hole below keyboard and then slide panel to right. Battery box is right there. Replace batteries and then was already to accept code.

Sentry Safe (DSW3607 Model) Won't Open

I finally ignored the poorly-written instructions for programming a personal code and simply entered the factory code first and then pressed the prog/enter code button.  The safe opened.  The instructions tell you to push the prog/enter code first and then enter the factory code or personal code to open the safe.  Wrong!  Do it my way should this problem happen to you.

Sentry s3877 battery compartment broke

I had the same problem with my Sentry S3877. I found the exact 4-battery replacement (with snap attachment on top!) at an online electronics.retailer, but had to purchase a lot of three. I don't need the other two, so I'll sell them for just $6 each to the first two folks to contact me mark@irregardless.net.

Oh, by the way, once the batteries went dead, you lost your combination! When you pop the new battery compartment in, the factory default combination will be in effect. That default combination is in your user's manual. I'm currently searching frantically for mine! Gee, how could I have misplaced it ... I just had it in my hands when I purchased the safe 10 years ago !!!

Anyone know the default combo for the S3877?
