SOURCE: KitchenAid - Is it real Stainless Steel?

The fridge freezers are called stainless steel but it is a term that is used more for marketing than an actual statement of what they are made of, the grade of stainless steel they use is very very low grade and the manufacturers of the appliances coat the steel with a protective clear coat to stop corrosion. This is why it is magnetic.

After filling water tank and replacing on Senso coffee maker the indicator window still shows "water needed" and will not heat water or brew?

I think the problem might be with the sensor in the water tank, you might need to replace it or send it to be replaced.

The light in my refrigerator stays on when the door is closed.

Hi, welcome to fixya.

A very common problem with those fridges actually. Especially after the door "swing" has been changed. Check to make sure the door sensor`s or door switch ( whatever the case may be...it depends on the model ) are secure and contacting each other when the door is closed. You can do this by accessing one or both sides of the door`s at the hinge assembly cover at the cabinet top. There should be sensor`s on either side which sense when the door is closed by "making" with magnets on the doors.

That is the most likely cause. You can check it with another magnet ( unless it is the push closed switch style I alluded to previous ) by holding it next to the door closed indicating magnet. If the light goes out, it`s an alignment issue, if not it`s likely a wiring issue. Let me know if I can assist you further. Thank you for visiting "fixya". Please take a moment to rate the solution if indeed it solved your problem. If it did not, let me know and I will try and provide you with further assistance.

good luck.

Timing belt problem

when you broke the belt you most likely broke the magnet for the cam sensor. What you need to do is spin the engine around to TDC and look for a magnet.

Take the sensor out first.

Kitchenaid ice maker dripping and freezing down freezer shelfs

Tube sometimes freezes because of minerals in it hold one droplet at a time until buildup freezes solid. Replace tube first. Water valve allowing some droplets through can also cause this. Tube first-less expensive.

Sabbath Setting

I just bought the SamsungRF267AB bottom freezer refrigerator.  Amoung the features that must be disabled for shabbos are the lights, motor cuttoff and inside panel indicators.  On most refrigerators there is a swich that you can tape in the depressed mode that will trick the unit into thinking the door is still closed.  With this unit it's magnetic.  you need to place a magnet on the top of the door frame to make the refigerator think the door is still closed.  I hope this helps.
