This is NavyCPOwif- As you read above I have a crazy Maytag H20 as well!

I am a research person so looked around a little last night and found a site. for DIY folks. Every one is halving the same problem. I suggest a civil action suit !!! But in the mean time I am going to have my Navy Avionics Technition husband tackle it rather then deal with Maytag right now. " cost almost as much as a military fighter jet, so he should be able to do it!" BUt I wanted to pass this information along to other DIY folks out there. We have not done it yet since ours just went crazy Friday night. So we disconected the door /water connection. But everything else seems to be working fine at this point. Serious about the class action suite!!! these should be recalled we bought ours in GA June 2006 so it seems that the ones made in the 2006 time frame are the ones with the issues- I assuem that the folks that are having problems with in the 7 8 month time frame have the same lot due to ours is 18 months old but we paid $2600 were some have paid $1500.00. So not sure but something needs to be done becouse the list of other issues with this fridge seems pretty long and very expensive.... Good luck!

Site to fix panel issue: for $3 to $20- DIY:
I have just fix my maytag M#MFI2568AEB at a cost of $3.00 Believe or not. You need to go to website hhttp://68.195.103.87:8083/liny/maytagice2o.htm Everything you need is on the site. (yes gets Maytag off the hook, but gets your fridge going quicker)

Comment by Navycpowif, posted on Jan 17, 2008 We fixed our ourself with the information I posted above- cost was $5. no problems.... no new panel just 2 circuits.

You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. If needed, you can pull back the weather seal (can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to access everything inside the door

You need to remove the top panel before you can remove and replace the control panel. Remove the screws holding the top panel to the back of the machine and slide the panel backward.

Disconnect the user interface wiring harness from the Central Control Unit (CCU). Pull the dispenser drawer out and press down the release tab at the back of the drawer to completely pull it out.

Remove the screw that was covered by the dispenser drawer in the recessed hole next to the drawer opening.

Open the door and insert a flat-bladed screwdriver into the notch at the bottom center of the control panel to release it.

Press and release the tab behind the right hand side of the control panel securing it to the cabinet.

Gently pry up and release the top of the control panel and pull it off the cabinet.

Install the new control panel in reverse of the steps above.

Breakers are usually located in the control panel
Push breaker fully OFF and then fully on
Check that breaker voltage is same as motor... for example if breaker is supplying 240V to pump, but pup is set up for 120Volt, then pump will not work.
Use override switch on timer to see if you can manually start the pump
Check that timer dial rotates ... 1 full turn for each 24 hours

How can i set up the time of the pool light in the a box model T10004R?

Typical T1000R series pool control center has space for 2 timers, and comes with one T104M 240Volt timer. Additional timer mechanism can be added to control lights, etc.

Copy following link for setting T104 series Intermatic clock, with link to wiring diagrams.

Intermatic pool timers are extremely durable and versatile, and modular so they can be repaired almost indefinitely using ez-to-locate parts

I have unscrewed my tier pointer by mistake to coincide with the current time on my T21004R timer. Now I cannot get into start and turn off where my on and off indicators are set. How do I correct thi

T21004R is single 240Volt T104M mechanism inside a 60 amp control panel.
The T100 series timer has stationary pointer that is supposed to be straight downward. Move pointer into downward position and apply bit of super glue to hold in place, or just remember where it should point.
Copy following links for instructions how to set and use the T104 timer.
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/How-to-operate-and-set-T104-timer.pdf
http://waterheatertimer.org/Intermatic-trippers-and-parts.html#pool

The T104 timer is rated for 40 amps, and is usually repairable, uses WG1573 replacement clock motor, and 156T1978A trippers. Trippers are made of softer metal and are designed to wear out before wearing down timer mechanism.

T104M is 208-277 timer mechanism that fits inside any Intermatic enclosure.
If voltage is not correct, then clock motor will not operate.
Since you did not say what voltage, I assume you have 240Volt pool pump.
Open following link to see the many ways to wire this timer:
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-wire-T104-Intermatic-timer.html
It is possible that you have the Load and Line wires reversed.
Line wire come from circuit breaker, and Load wires go to pump.

If the T104M mechanism is part of a control panel with more than one timer, and/or a freeze control, then re-post question with more specific information.

How to wire model t10004 control panel intermatic inc? I am just looking for a picture of the wiring diagram. All I need to do is hook up a the wiring for the light.

T10004 control panel has 240V T104 timing mechanism.

1) You can use T104 timer to control 120volt light if you have a neutral wire:
http://waterheatertimer.org/images/T-104-control-120V-Load3-45.jpg

2) Lights are usually 120Volts with black hot wire and white neutral wire.
3) T104 timer is 240Volts with two hot wires L1 and L2 that can be white-black wires or red-black wires.

4) Open following link to see basic 120V and 240V circuits.

Pool pump starts randomly (as if there is a short) even when it is not set to start and stop. Otherwise works fine, not sure if I need to replace unit or dissassemble and clean or ????? T21004R

Sounds like 240Volt WG1573 clock motor has gone bad and needs replacement. But more checking is needed.

You posted under T2100-4R which is 60 amp Intermatic control panel with a single T104M 240Volt timer mechanism.
All Intermatic timer mechanisms can fit into same control center, so you can possibly have different timer mechanism inserted into the T2100-4R control center.
The control center can have up to 4 circuit breakers.
Instruction manual shows that timer can also have fireman's switch that is wired to pool heater and causes pool heater to turn off 20 minutes before pool pump turns off.
http://www.poolandspacontrols.com/products/mechanical%20controls/60%20amp%20pool%20and%20spa%20control%20panels.aspx

(1) First thing: If you have T104 mechanism, do a troubleshoot run-down to see if trippers, clock motor, or wiring are suspect:
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-troubleshoot-Intermatic-timer.html

(2) Next would be to check the circuit breakers for loose wires, burned connections, or the smell of burning or crackling sound that says breaker is loose on the busbar.

(3) Check for loose wiring on T104 and test circuit:
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-wire-T104-Intermatic-timer.html
(a) Push the manual override lever to OFF position and test across terminals 1 and 2 and then across terminals 3 and 4 to make sure timer is turning off power to pump. Both tests should show 0 volts.
(b) Push manual override lever to to ON position and repeat test above. Both tests should show 240 volts.
If the test fails, then buy new T104M timer mechanism.

(4) If the T104 timer is turning off both lines in the 240Volt circuit, then pump cannot turn on since neither wire is Hot.
However if your T104 timer is actually a T101 timer or if timer has different wiring, where timer is turning off only 1 leg and not both legs of 240Volt circuit, then pump has one hot wire available and a short to ground could cause pump to turn on unexpectedly.

Timer will not shut off Pump with tripper.

T40004R 100 amp control panel has one 240Volt T104M timer mechanism.

1) If this is new installation then timer is probably wired wrong.
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-wire-T104-Intermatic-timer.html

2) If timer worked before and stopped working, and timer dial is rotating and keeping good time, sounds like you need set of 156T1978A trippers.

3) Open following link for timer troubleshoot and trippers:

I have a Intermatic T40404R and need a replacement timer. I have examined the timers in my unit and find no part numbers. Other sites offer a T101M as well as a T104M. Which is the correct timer for my...

Thank you for including model number.
Intermatic catelog shows that T40404R is shipped with two T104M timer mechanisms.
However the mechanisms can be changed out for either T101M or T104M, and these timers can be wired many different ways so there is not 100% certainty unless you know or test voltages.

Here's the general difference
T101M is 120 Volt with 120Volt clock motor
T104M is 240 Volt with 240Volt clock motor

You can buy $20 clock motor and $3 trippers and fix the timer mechanism instead of replacing it.
