No Power to Windsor Sensor XP12

My company's windsor sensor xp12 has no power getting to it and I have changed the bag, cleaned all filters and beater brush to no avail. Can you help me? The vacuum is barely a year old. Could it be a fuse, and if so, where would I find it?

The Windsor Sensor vacs all have a removable handle.

The handle is inserted into a "socket" which has contacts to complete the electrical circuit.

The handle is held in place by a gray plastic lever.

If the lever is not pressed down completely, the handle is able to slide within the socket during regular use.

If the handle slides out far enough, the electrical connection within will be disconnected and the vac will have no power.

Simply lift the lever, pull up to remove the handle, and re-insert the handle fully, then press down firmly on the lever to lock the handle securely in place.

This is the first step to solve your problem and hopefully this is all that need to be done.

If this does not work, please repost here and I will help you all I can.

Note: I am a big fan of the Windsor Sensor vacs and find them to be easy to work on and a great vac all around!

You most likely will need to change the Yoke assembly. There is a sensor built in that gets clogged with fine debris over time. This will take care of the problem.

The beater bar in my vacuum does not go around and there is no suction in the power head?

Turn up side down- check if belt is intact- I would remove belt ant look for an obstruction. Not familiar with this vac but some motors have replaceable bruches on the motor. Try running and feeling for suction. The motor should sound strong when running. Remove beater brush and check for freedom of movement.

Servicing windsor sensor xp15

You need to replace your beater bar more than likely, if the light stays on all the time. If it is flashing there is usually something jamming the brush roller from turning properly.

I have a Windsor Sensor s12 and power shuts off after 5 min. of vacuuming. I'm wondering if it's overheating of if there is some other sensor that causes it to shut off.

Your Sensor most likely has an internal heat sensor that is shutting off the motor. Some vacuums install an external heat sensor with a reset button that you must push to re-start the vacuum. If your model does not have an external reset button it is most likely a sensor inside the motor. If it is defective the motor must be replaced to solve the problem. But first make sure the overheating is not being caused by a blockage somewhere or the bag is too full. Air must pass completely through a vacuum starting at the floor where it picks up the dirt through all the canisters, filters, bags, etc. and then is exhausted from the vacuum. Any restrictions or blockage can cause the motor to over heat.

Sensor xp 15 shutting down

If you have one of your red lights flashing or on all the time that will indicate where you need to look for your repair. Beater bar light will indicate a brush roll replacement and the bag light indicates a need to empty the bag or look for a clog somewhere in the air flow area of the hose or wand. These machines are designed to shut down if you keep trying to run them with a red light coming on.

If it is direct drive then the motor or the wireing to the motor are bad. If it is gear driven then the gears are probally stripped.

Vaccum doesn't have power.

I had one of these come in for service, a new mainboard was the solution. They're getting power if the lights come on. The board just isn't letting it go.

Best of Luck!
