Question about KitchenAid KFP670 Ultra Power Food Processor
Lid is stuck and will not turn to open
I had the same thing happen to me just last night after grating some parmesan. what ended up happening is that i put too much stress on it and one of the little catches on the side of the bowl welded itself to the lid. not enough to be permanently stuck, but enough to make it impossible to open.
i found that if i wedged a flathead screw driver underneath the side that was melted together, i was able to separate the two welded pieces, and then open the lid right as normal.
hope this helps.
otherwise, you'll have to go to gourmetdepot.com and order a new bowl and lid (30 bucks each)

I am also having the same problem. it happened as soon as i got done putting in some parmesan and grated it. never happened before and i've got a few cups of parmesan cheese just sorta wasting away inside the processor. very tempted to break the damn thing open and just buy a new processor from a different company.

Something I saw on Chowhound worked for me--turn the lid in the back-on direction, then twist it off!
