Ask at Elderly Instruments. Those guys know everything, and if they don't know it they usually can come up with it.

Fender Telecaster Squier Electric Guitar S/N CY04124006 with Krate amplifier How do I obtain value and year of production

Cy04. The first 2 numbers are generally the year of manufacture so yours is 2004
as for value it depends on lots of factors ie condition model etc but generally base model squires can be purchased new from as little as 100-$200.
so unless yours is something special It wouldn't be worth much.
If you think it is worth more then u need to do ur research

Fender jazz bass serial no n900373 what year and value

according to this web site:
http://www.guitarattic.com/Fender%20Serial%20Numbers.htm
it could be either a 1990 or a 1999. Not particularly sought after years, unfortunately, but still a great bass. Do a google search for those years to get an idea of pricing in your region...different areas value some basses/guitars differently...probably in the 700-900 range
