Question about Samsung Office Equipment & Supplies

Open Question

CLX2160N prints light image of previous page behind current page. Subsequent pages continue to display their previous page image.

Image behind current page is the complete previous page, not a repeating portion. Each subsequent page carries the weak image of the complete previous page in the background. Distance between reprints is one complete page.

SOURCE: images of previous page remains on the new printed page

It is either a bad drum in the toner cartridge or toner on the fuser. Try changing out the toner. If the problem remains, you'll have to get a new fuser module.

SOURCE: printing appears to reprint on other pages

I have seen several things fix a problems with reprint like yours depending on the spacing between the prints. There is a registration page in the service manual that points likely faults by the distance between reprints. This is based on the diameter of the failed part. Transfer roller, Print cartridge, and the fuser.

SOURCE: HP Laserjet prints everything multiple times

Is it the same image being repeated ?

If so then it is the drum not the developer unit.

There is a device for discharging the image once it has been transfered to the paper from the drum.

If that is broken then the image is not cleaned off and will repeat.

The other thing to look at is your setup to make sure it is set at A4 and it is being told to print one copy per sheet

SOURCE: My Epson 1500 Action Laser has images from previously printed pages

It looks like you are using a different driver, or probably you are using Windows 7 and it seems it is not compatible OS. I find a tip: use it wit HP LaserJet III drivers.

Hope it could help you.

Print appears on multiple pages

check the fuser unit in the back of the machine; typically the shadow effect is caused by the fuser assembly. Inspect your toner cartridges for any leaking toner. Genuine HP or ? ? ? ?

You probably need an Epson driver for Widows XP. Win 98 just isn't going to cut it for continuous forms printing.
