SOURCE: DENON Cassette deck Model DRR-M30

Standalone Cassette DECKS always require amplification. The lack of speaker connections and volume control are small clues.

SOURCE: Hi. I have a much-loved

Hi. I had a similar problem. Remove the casing and you will see a rubber belt on the left hand side which looks like a miniature car fan belt. Even if it looks ok, the likelihood is that it is now slack and not operating properly. Its purpose appears to be to drive a white plastic cog wheel which secures the tray in position ready for the cassette to play. If the tension is insufficient to lock the tray, it automatically ejects after a couple of seconds of the whirring sound you describe. Contact Charles Hyde & Son Ltd of York who are main distributors for Denon and order part number 7790031, called a tray loading belt. The Sales number is 01759 303068 and that takes you right through to someone who will process your order; the part costs about £10 incl postage. They sent the part the day after I phoned - great service. It takes a few seconds to remove the old belt and replace it with the new one. Good luck

SOURCE: hi ive got a denon drr-m30 it keeps on poping the back out

The solution from AlecBrown133 nails it. The only comment that I would add is that the same repair can be done with a normal rubber band. I used one to fix the same issue with my Denon drr m30 and it is significantly cheaper than the 10 pound option.

Disc reading

How confident are you at opening it up? And where are you? If it can get table of contents info it could be gummed up grease on the laser sled.
