SOURCE: 2002 Toyota Highlander AC main control

Before tearing out the AC control, does the temp knob feel loose or wobble alot more then the fan knob? If so pull the temp knob straight off. Look at the small nut around the shaft the knob came off of. Its common for them to come loose. Just tighten it up some and reinstall the knob. Your temp will work normally now.
This fix is for the manual system not the auto ac system.

You did not indicate what the "Problem" is?
Hi, well I applaud you for starting in the right place, The power supply, as, if, that isn't right nothing else can be. But you simply cannot do anything without a Service Manual. In this it has everything one needs to repair the set. OK if it is shutting down, after that amount of time, of working and then faulting, then it is most definitely a "Thermal" problem, the way we "Find" problems such as this is "Freeze Spray" you use this on each component that is suspected of being the "Culprit" and you will soon, find that errant component. Now also not every fault is a Capacitor, I see many, many people that think, that Capacitors are always the "Culprit" now while that may be true in a few cases, a faulty Electrolytic Cap, or ordinary, Cap goes faulty, this is only a SYMPTOM, something has damaged those caps causing them to "Fail". One MUST always find the root "Cause", otherwise if you just treat, the SYMPTOM, the "Cause" will just make the "Symptom" come back, in short order, as the prime cause still, hasn't been fixed., Now Capacitors hate AC ripple, or Over Voltage. Thats it. Oh.. and Heat, if these Capacitors, are too close to a Heat Source, then thats a prime cause of failure. Resistors, hardly ever go faulty, and if they do, it is generally obvious. However it doesn't hurt to check values with our Multimeter. Remember though resistors are made, with up to 20% tolerance from stated value, as such, are not too critical, unless in Timing circuits etc. Always check, the Values, of resistors, as with any other component, with the power OFF. Now Diodes especially "Zener Diode", are another thing to check, those and ordinary "Signal Diode" should always be suspect. next we have Transistors and IC's. The Transistors MUST ALL be checked to see if they have a good, "Junction" this is done, with our meter set to "Diode Test" and usually are about 0.6 to 0.7. With IC's you must check, voltage levels, or Logic Levels, going in and out, have a look at the circuit diagram, and it will tell you what they should be. It is a good idea to always measure the Power Supply voltages, see if a "Rail" is Low, that will be because some component has gone somewhat or all short circuit, to Earth, now, if the "Rail" is Higher, suspect an "Open Circuit" component, like a Diode, or Transistor. The voltages expressed in the manual are spot on, ANY variation MUST be investigated. I have been doing all this for over 30 years now, and I do indeed wish, we could have a set of "Symptoms" and be ables to say.. "Oh that;s the so-in-so and replace this" however unfortunately this although does happen, most "Symptoms" can have literally tens, of "Causes" all often "Interlinked" One simply has to do a methodical troubleshooting procedure, and always think, "are my Voltages Correct" as this is how, you Fix the problem, by making them so. Keep up the good work. If that link above doesn't furnish a Service manual, it is imperative you get one, even if you must pay for it. It will pay for itself in about 2 mins.

Siemens S 16 76 door will not open

First to unlock depending on model. There will be a pull tab either under the lower kick panel, behind the filter cover, or under the top panel. Pull this tab to unlock the door. Now you can remove the clothes and water. Refer to the owners manual for the location of your emergency door pull tab.

Door Switch
You will need to remove the door switch to check it. You will perform an ohm reading on the bottom terminals. The reading varies from manufacturers most Frigidaires is around 1500 ohms others like the whirlpool duet is checked at the main control board with the door closed should be around zero ohms. You will need to refer to the tech sheet or service manual for the proper reading.

Main Control Module / CCU
The main control unit is the circuit board located behind the console. If the door switch tests good the main control is usually the problem. Check all connections for a goood tight fit. You will need to refer to the tech sheet or service manual to check this further. Replace the main control is easy .

God bless you

Apazm1, unfortunately your main control board is the culprit for your woes. The part number is WR55X10552 and retails for ~$115.00. There's good news, though! It's readily available, (all the appliance parts retailers have them) AND they are easy to install. After you have the new part in hand, open the box and read the instructions CAREFULLY. These boards have been modified from the original OEM's and work on all fridges like yours. UNPLUG YOUR FRIDGE! Pull it away from the wall, locate the aluminum panel that covers the computer and remove it (4 screws). The board is held in place by 4 white clip tabs. They poke through the board at (roughly) the 4 corners of it. Look closely at these with a flashlight... you'll see where you need to squeeze them with a pair of needle nose pliers to release them (squeeze the clip and pull that area of the board at the same time). Then remove all the connectors from the board. Now snap the new board into place and reconnect all the wires. This is where you need to pay attention to the instruction sheet! Look out for that white "jumper" in "pin #2"... if you don't get this right your fridge won't work right. Here's the reason I know it's the main board and not the board behind the dispenser area... the dispenser board is low voltage, the main board is high voltage. The dispenser board only sends a signal to the main board. From there, the main translates this input into a high voltage command for the component you have selected (water, ice crushed, cubed, etc...) The components that aren't working on your fridge are high (120) voltage parts controlled by the main board... ergo, failed main board. Hope this helps! Let us know how it goes, will ya?

KitchenAid, Whirlpool side by side refrigerator Component Location cover

Component Locations.

As you see the refrigerator on the top you can see the decorative panel.
Above refrigerator after you will remove the front decorative panel you will find the compressor on left side behind the inverter assembly and on right the Main control board assembly and behind it the condenser fan motor both secure inside silver aluminium boxes and located over the bigger box of the condenser.

Fridg on but fridg not cold

It probably has a bad main control board , locate behind the refrig , behind an 8x10" panel . I would remove the board ( with refrig unplugged ) , and look for a " bullseye " . Resolder if possible , if not , replace the control board . From your symptom , sounds like the compressor is not comming on , so the board should fix this .

The main control is easy to replace.

GE GSS25QSTSS no lights working on the water and ice dispenser. No light working, no ice dispenses or water. Tried unpluggin no luck

I would remove the bottom kick panel ( 1 screw on each side ) and follow the wires to the receptical ( about 5 inches from bottom of door ) . Wiggle the receptical , to see if any of the dispensor lights come on . Also try pushing the wires into the receptical farther . If still no lights , then the main control board behind the refrig ( behind 8" X 10 " panel ) is probably bad . No communication between the main board and dispensor board . Part number WR55X10942 . I have yet to come across a bad dispensor board , so , replace the main board first . If the receptical process doesn't work .

Display no longer works

Yes, I see this but it isn't real common.  The control board (eoc) will have to be replaced.  Most of them are costly.  If you give me the complete model # from the sticker on the oven (may be behind bottom drawer) I can check into this better for you and get you a price.
