Question about Sharp Microwave Ovens
Touch STOP/CLEAR pad.
Touch TIMER/CLOCK pad.
Enter the correct time of day by touching the numbers above in sequence.
(for example: for 12:30, touch 1 2 3 0)
Touch TIMER/CLOCK pad again.

If the time is *NOT* a four (4) character (i.e. 2:15, 6:30, 9:45, etc), you need to insert a zero before the other characters (i.e. 0215, 0630, 0945). That may be why you're getting an error message.

Hi solved the problem by pressing clock set inter the time then press and hold clock set for 2 seconds this step is not incloded in the manual and then press start the clock will work after that.

The easiest way I can remember is to turn off the power, then back on... this will make the display flash, then press stop/clear.
Then press clock, enter the time eg: for 9 am or pm enter 9.00 and press clock again.

Microwave_svc's site is awesome! I was able to get all the help I needed for a similar Sharp Carousel microwave. My bulb was simply loose in the socket base causing intermittent bulb lighting. Microwave_svc's helpful links got me to the service manual and, along with a nice set of "tamper-proof" screw compatible TORX bits I bought at HarborFreight, I was easily able to get cover off, remove bulb socket, tighten bulb, re-install bulb socket, button unit back up, and, voila, the light now works without intermittent blinking. FIXYA!!!!

Manufacturers used to include access panels in the rear or side so you could easily change the bulb. That exposed the customer to 110V connectors, and that posed a real liability threat, so they stopped using them.
You now must generally remove the outer cover to replace the bulb.
