Question about Maytag MAH6500 Neptune Front Loading Washer w/Built in Water Heater

Maytage MAH6500AWW Overloaded washer now leaks when filling

I put in a comforter which was too large, but I have washed sleeping bags and other large articles before with no problem, so I closed the door until the door locked. That load finished without further incident. The following small load had no incident, but the small load after that started leaking out the bottom of the washer while filling. I quickly turned the machine off and then ran a spin cycle to eject any water. The leaking stopped during the the 7 minute spin. I tried to start up a wash cycle, but it started leaking during filling, again. For the second time, I stopped the wash/fill cycle, and ran another 7 minute spin. The leaking stopped and here I am on the computer trying to find out what to do so my husband doesn't have to trouble-shoot when he gets home.

Found the problem. The grey rubber seal between the door and tub is torn from when I overloaded it with the comforter. Leaks all over the floor right from the center tear at bottom of seal. (Also torn near the top. I will never overload again!!) Need to order a new seal. Any help with where to order one online??

Should I hand-wash my sleeping bag?

Probably. I wash ours all the time. What is the material and filling? Down or feather bags are hard to wash and I like dry cleaning those.

For synthetic bags, load loosely in a top load washer or better yet use a front-load machine. The front loader tumbles the bag instead of using an agitator. Use minimum soap, and do an extra rinse. SPIN SLOWLY. You do not want the weight of the water to tear anything inside the bag. After it is done, then you can spin it faster because most of the water will be out. Then dry in the dryer. Some people say to put a couple of tennis balls in with it or an old shoe -- apparently to fluff it around a bit more.

The washer will not wash all

Brand of washer, model; front-loader? You can try this:

FO2 is the code for long drain. The filter on your pump is probably clogged with lint and stuff. You have to remove the bottom front panel, 3 torx screws underneath. The panel will drop and come off. Drain off the excess water from the drain pipe you see. The white filter cover is right in front. Get yourself a plastic bag to collect water. Unscrew the filter cover and twist the filter out. Clean out all the stuff and put it back in carefully. Check your pump too, comes after the filter.
