Question about Williams-Sonoma Stick Blender Handheld
While it may be true that you don't ALWAYS need to remove the mixer to clean, there are certainly times where it is very helpful. Not to mention that there are other reasons to remove the mixer, such as to change to a different mixer head type.
Anyway, the mixer is just pressure fit over. After a while, food gets stuck under it, and you have to pull hard to pry it off. I've used a bottle opener as a lever to pull them off after they were particularly stuck on. Usually, the more stuck on mine is, the more food and grit is trapped under there.
So again, no fancy tools, or twist-then-turn required. Just pull harder.
