What do you have against card readers? They work 99% of the time versus 75% for cameras and usb cords.

Can't up load pics to computer~~keeps blacking out sanyo 12.1 vpc~s120

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

I have an x1200 Sanyo digital camera. Don't know how to download pics on to my desktop.Expert says I need a cardreader??????? what is that and where can I get one?

A card reader is a little device that connects to a USB or FireWire port on your computer. The camera's memory card plugs into the reader, then the computer sees the card as an external hard drive. Once there, you can use the operating system's drag&drop to copy files to your hard drive. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

You can buy a card reader at just about any department, electronics, or office-supply store. Make sure you get one that can read your memory cards. To be sure, just show the clerk your camera and card and ask for an appropriate reader. I don't know what part of the world you're in, but I bought mine at a department store for $7.

Cannot download pics on to my computer

Remove the memory card and put it into a "card reader". You will get much faster transfer rates doing it this way. You can buy a card reader for under $20 from newegg.com or other computer part retailers.

Cant review pics on camera or computer, but camera says card is full

This occassionally happens with memory cards formatted using FAT. The simplest way for you to get the pics of the card when such a thing happens is to get a card reader. Pop the card in to the card reader, connect it to your PC and transfer the pics. Then format it using FAT32. I have noticed that my card was a lot more reliable in saving pics compared to FAT.

Down load to pc.camera says"computer conecting" thats all. mod # VPC-E1075

Click on My Computer, and see if your camera is listed as in C Drive , D Drive, etc. Double click on your cameras icon ( make sure your camera is turned on )  and copy the pics.
This might take a while ,depending on your computers configuration and the size of the memory card in your camera.
