Re: Canon MP830 Service Error 6000
Tips to fix this error code on your Canon printer:
? Turn off your Canon printer for some time, wait for at least 10 minutes and then restart your printer by turning it on
? Check whether the paper tray is set correctly or not. If any foreign substance is obstructing the path of printing, you should remove that object
? Verify whether any tiny object or simply a torn piece of paper is present in your Canon printer. If so, remove it gently to experience smooth printing
? Try to clean other components of your printer machine which includes the print head or the encoder strip. If you get stuck then do visit us: canon printer error code 6000

There are a few different causes for this. All of them leading to the "spooler" service to stop running.
The most common remedy is to just reboot the computer. If this fails, there may be a corrupted document in the spool queue that is crashing the service repeatedly here are the steps to clear it out:
For Windows XP (your computer says "start" in the bottom left) 1. Go to the "Start" menu and click "run" 2. in the window that comes up enter "net start spooler" 3. Try printing again. 4. If the problem continues then: 5. Click "start" and "Run" again. 6. enter "C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS" and click ok and delete any items in there. 7. Close that window. 8. Restart the computer. You should now be able to print.
For Windows Vista or Windows 7: 1. Click the blue "Start" orb 2. In the search box enter "command" 3. The computer will return with several items 4. Right click on the black item that says "command prompt" 5. click "run as administrator" 6. in the black window type "net start spooler" and press enter 7. try printing again, if it fails continue to step 8 8. open the blue start orb 9. in the search box enter "C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS" 9.5. If you get a permissions message click continue 10. delete all items from there. 11. back in the black command prompt box, type "net start spooler" again 12. You should be able to print.
If you still cannot print, you may have one or more corrupted print drivers. In this case you will need to delete and re-install your printers from the computer using instructions from the manufacturer.

When the print head temperature falls, the error is
If the print head temperature exceeds the specified limit
when the scanning unit (printer cover) is opened, the
carriage does not move to the ink tank replacement
If it's a replacement MP830, you need to go into control panel, printers and make sure you delete your old printer. Windows will install your new one and call it copy 1. Your program could be trying to print to your old printer.
The 6A00 is a Canon generic code for paper path jam.
Solution 1: Move the printhead carriage back and forth a few times.
Solution 2: Check the purge unit: Moving the print head assembly will not clear a purge unit if its jammed with paper, paper clips, push pins, screws, cookie crisp, flower bud pods or the like.
Solution 3: Press the ink pads down in the purge unit. Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

I suggest you get a sheet of Card Stock (Heavy
paper) and place it in the feed way. Then press the print
button applying a slight amount of pressure on the Card Stock so it
will feed through the printer. The reason for this, is in some cases I
have been able to clear the paper track of debris that was deposited there
Worth a try, as I have fixed a number of printers this
way, saving costly repairs.
Hope this helps.Bud
