  • Anonymous Jun 27, 2008

    doesnt work piece of ****...

  • Anonymous Jul 26, 2008

It works for me but it's still a piece of ****, the 'sound canceling' stuff completely blocks out my voice unless i damn near have it in my mouth which defeats the purpose of having a stand and even then the quality sucks. You get what you pay for i suppose, going to buy a new one on for $20.

  • Anonymous Aug 14, 2008

Holy **** this thing sucks. I'm gonna bring it back right now. Absolutly too quiet, no matter what I do. Hunk of junk. Maybe that's why it's $8.88.

Avoid. Get something for double the cost that -works-.

This this wont do anything. I think I am going to return it.

its plugged in and the person on the other side cant hear me

  • Anonymous Feb 05, 2009

I got the MC-1060 yesterday and tried to hook it up, and the person on the other side can't hear me. I do everything I can think of, nothing works. I don't have Vita..would that make a difference if I deleted it and the rebooted? I would really hate to mess up my computer.

  • mlriley Mar 28, 2009

i plugged this microphone in and even though vista is telling me that "the device is working properly", there is still NO sound getting through, i tried testing it with sound recorder, no sound there, and the people im trying to talk to through vent cant hear me either. the computer recognizes the device but its just simply not inputting any sound

For Vista 32 bit. Go to the driver manager. De-instal/delete the driver in the Sound, Video and Game section. In my case it was RealTek High Def Audio ver (Select Delete the driver files.) Reboot. Vista will reinstall a driver. In my case it was Microsoft High Def audio ver 6.0.6000.16386. I had the mic plugged in when I rebooted to load the new driver. The Cyber Acoustics ML-1060 now works fine. Hope this helps.

There is no driver for a mic. its a mic. make sure mic input isnt muted. i have this mic and it works. at first it appeared not to work but that is because the record input wasnt set to mic input and the mic was muted

Ok... you 1st plug it in to the back of ur computer..... well, i messed with it on windows movie maker... you should have it on ur computer somewhere... if you go to record (on windows movie maker)it will have options on scroll bars and what u do is... make sure the 1st roll down bar says: Record: Audio Only... u can do the video too but not with the mic.. then click on the button that says: CHANGE DEVICE Then you go to the line scroll bar and click on microphone... then you should be able to play your voice and hear it well

I have the same mic. I almost returned it until i came up with a solution. I uninstalled the the sound on my computer. Then restarted the computer, this will reinstall all the correct drivers and the driver needed for the mic. (I have windows vista home basic) Hope this helps you. Also you can see their website where they have support for their mics since they seem to have a lot of issues.

My mic on my headphones doesn't work. Nothing is muted.

If headphones mic doesn't work on different PCs then the problem with headphones set. There are 2 possible problems: broken cord or bad microphone. I think this is cord problem and unfortunately don't know the way to test it at home.
I think replacing the cord will resolve the problem. Source(s): dont forget to rate me.... Good Luck.....

HS 600 cyber acoustics mic isnt working...

The issue lies in the glass fiber wire, the wire is coated with a conductive metal only a fe mircons thick.

Simply put the headset is a poor production model, the use of glass fiber wire more often than not results in a short in the wiring. Thus the sound will come out of one side, not at all, etc.

Cyber Acoustics PC Microphone Not Working Anymore

Well to find out if your computer even recognizes it, you need to right click the white speaker on the bottom right of your computer. Select audio devices. More than likely it will tell you it isn't connected.
I uninstalled the sound completely from my computer. Then i restarted the computer. This will reinstall the drivers for your sound and the one you need for your mic. I have vista but this should still work for XP.

-right click on computer (should be on ur desktop or under start menu)
-select manage
-device manager
-click on the plus next to sound, video and game controllers
-right click on the audio (high definition audio device)
-select uninstall
- restart your computer.

This will do the trick.
your computer should recognize the mic.
