Iam experiencing problems reading data on disc and also recording with a DZ-BX35E Hitachi dvd camcorder.

I have a DVD CAM DZ-GX5060SW, IHAVE RECORDED a
try loading the files onto you pc then take a dvd R disc and finalise that Im not to sure but i dont think you can finalise a rewritable disc?

take the battery off and plug in the hard wired battery and turn on camera, push "Disc Navigation" wait for thumb nails to be created and then push Finalized.

This camera sucks, total waste of money, i dont know how dumb hitachi techs were , who designed it. No USB support, You cant play back recorded dvd in to computer or watch in tv from dvd player, through this cam at nariman point and purchase soni instead with hard disk recording.

Can I playback my movies on a DVD-ROM drive?
No, DVD-RAM disc recorded on the DVD Camcorder will not play back on every drive. Some of the new DVD-ROM drives designed to be compliant with the new DVD-RAM book2 standards will playback discs recorded on the DVD Camcorder. Many previous DVD-ROM drives on the market that came out before the DVD-RAM standard was released will not play back discs recorded on the DVD Camcorder. HITACHI manufactures DVD-ROM drives for some PC manufactures as OEM products. HITACHI model GD-7500 DVD-ROM has DVD-RAM read/write compatibility.

Can I transfer videotape movies onto DVD media using the Hitachi DVD-Camcorder?
Yes, and it is highly recommended to do so. Hitachi’s DVD-Camcorder has an advanced analogto-digital conversion system. By using the analog Audio/Video input on the camcorder, the tape based information is converted into digital data and is then recorded onto the DVD disc. See manual instructions for switching input from Camera to Line-In.
