Toggle the hold switch and put it back in the off position. Then press and hold the center button and the menu button simultaneously for ten seconds and the apple symbol should come up on the screen. Then it should work like normal. Hope this helps you!

Press the menu and center button together for 5 sec, that will do a hard reset. If it keeps happening restore the firmware through itunes. If it happens after that, you need a new logic board. Open the iPod and replace the part. The part is available on ebay. Here's a guide on how to disassemble an iPod. Maybe a tech savy friend can do it for you. If you want to pay to have a service do it for you there are third party iPod Repair Services.

How much days do it take if your ipod is froze

Hold down the power and home buttons for 30 seconds until you get to the Apple logo screen. That should do a hard reset. If that doesn't work, let the battery completely drain (your iPod will turn off) and then charge it for an hour, then, try the reset again. If that still doesn't work, hook up to your computer and do a restore from iTunes. If none of these remedies work, then call Apple or go to the Apple Store in your area.

My apple ipod classic froze half way through a song welst i connected it to a computer now its froze on the song and it wont charge

Press both the center button and menu until the circular spinning icon shows that the thing is rebooting.  Also, try holding play for 5-10 seconds to shut the thing off.  Then hold play for 5-10 seconds to turn it back on.

Actually this problem happened to me a long before.

1)so i waited for the entire battery to low and it automatically switched off .then charge it.IT MAY WORK

2)for me,when i replug my ipod it showed that FROZED screen.this was pretty sick.so i decided to HOLD the PLAY/PAUSE button for while and it automatically switched off and when i restarted it was working fine.

Have ipod 5th gen. 20gigs.. it is frozzen or something???

You might want to plug it into itunes and update/format the whole thing. You'll loose whatever's on there unless you're able to use "expod" or some other ipod-2-comp software, but if you can't get it to start at all, you'll end up loosing your media anyways. I'd try that, see if reformatting and updating firmware will help.
