''Can't be activated'' ?

''This PS3 cannot be activated. This content cannot be used. 1 PS3 systems are already activated for your account. To activate this system, you must deactivate the other.'' Recently, my PS3 shpwed a red screen and had to be sent away. The new one is showing me this message. Is it because my old one is still activated? And if so, how do I fix it?

When i put a game in the system is telling me to activate system by signing in to account under psn

ENNIS, SONY has put in a rule when it concerns the PS3. The rule is, each PSN account can only have a maximum of 2 activated systems per account. For example; If you have 1 in your bedroom, and 1 in your living room, Then you don't have to create another account. If, however, you have a 3rd system, you will have to create another account. SONY did this to make sure people are not pirating accounts. Like, a friend gets playstation plus, and all you have to do is put in your friend's information and you now have the service for free. You will have to activate your system in order to use any DLC. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Cant play cod ghosts onslaught maps

You must make sure your PS3 is activated for your game DL's. Here is how to do it. At the XMB, sign in to PSN. When you do, a tab will open up that says account management. Scroll down to System activation. There, you can select to activate/deactivate your system and PSP for games and DLC content.

I down loadedthe cod ghosts onslaught maps but cant play them why

You must activate your system first. Here are the steps.
1 power on
2 log into the system
3 sign in to psn
4 Account Management
5 System Activation
6 PS3 System
7 Games and videos
Remember, SCEA only allows (2) systems to be activated under the same account. So even if you had 3 systems in your house, you can only activate 2. After your system is activated, then you can enjoy your new maps. ^^ P.S. As of this writing, "DEVASTATION" will be released for the PS3 TOMORROW!

Activation Problem

1) Please visit the SEN website (below) and login with your PSN credentials
account.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com
2) On the Home tab (which will load after login) you should see devices and activation in the top left (below the Home icon). Click "Playstation Systems" here.
3) If you see the message "You have reached the maximum number of PlayStation 3 Systems for Video (1)." you may have to contact Sony directly, but first deactivating and reactivating is worth a shot (do not worry, unless you are trying to scam the system there is no reason deactivating and reactivating a legitimate device should cause an issue). Skip to Step 5 if this is the case. Continue to Step 4 if no PS3 system is present.
4) If no PS3 system is showing in this list, click "Activate a Playstation System" and follow the steps listed there on your PS3.
5) If it is in fact showing a PS3 system and you either have the message that you have the max systems for video or no messages at all, then click the icon that looks like a PS3, this system may have a nickname assigned by you, if not it will be labeled "My PS3 System" as that is the default.
6) Click "Deactivate" and follow the steps if any, then click "Return to Devices" if applicable (if you are already on the devices screen now, please disregard.
7) Click "Activate a Playstation System" and follow the steps there on your PS3.
8) If your PS3 system is still not allowing you to view videos, music, or stream, then look at the bottom right for the small text "customer support" beneath "help". Click "customer support".
9) Click the "Contact Us" tab in the right middle of the screen.
10) Scroll to the bottom and choose to either contact via phone or email. Describe the problem you are having activating your PS3 for video and they should be able to manually reset the activations and allow you to activate your PS3 system once and for all.

I have a PSP Go. whenever i try to open a game it tells me to activate system 8010850F. how do i activate it?

Found a possible solution on some other forums

For games the "to use this content, you must activate the system (8010850F)" message can be removed, and access to your downloaded content allowed, by either

1. signing in to PSN on your PSP then selecting account management > activate/ deactivate > games

or

2. connecting the PSP to your PS3 bia USB and signing in then selecting account management > activate/ deactivate > psp > games

I got it from this thread http://community.eu.playstation.com/t5/Technical-Support-Help-Advice/PSP-quot-to-use-this-content-you-must-activate-the-system/m-p/9991383
