Question about Bowflex Treadclimber
I have a new Bowflex TreadClimber TC5000 that I cannot use, because I cannot get it calibrated. I have tried many times and I've followed the instructions carefully. I have also shut off the power, unplugged it and started over again.
The same thing always happens. I follow the instructions and it goes through the calibration process. However, after completion, instead of the display showing ''CAL'' ''PASS'', it shows ''CAL'' ''FAILED'' ! There is no information in the owner's manual on what to do if this happens.
I'm not mechanically inclined and had someone else assemble it for me. Could someone please explain (in simple language)how to remedy this problem. Thank you.
You said this is a new machine? Or just new to you? If it's new simply call the seller for warranty service. If it's not new, there could be an issue with the control board. If you were to just press Start and try to walk at 1mph, does the treadmill work? Does the treadmill not seem to be the correct speed being the reason to do a calibration? Lets also be sure to check the speed sensor at the front roller maybe, which should be close to a rotating magnet, which in turn, counts rotations or this roller and mathematically figures out the speed in which it is turning, then compares this to a table in the upper board to verify the set speed matches the rotating pulses of the front roller. AT FIRST YOU MUST REMOVE COVER AND SEE CAREFULLY TO FIND SENSORS SOME SENSORS ARE PHOTO SENSOR AND GET ON DUST AND CAN NOT GOOD WORK THEN BETTER THIS IS YOU CLEAN DUST VERY VERY GOOD PERHAPS SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM.

Unplug your machine, restart it and try to calibrate it one more time. I had to do this with mine and it did take more than one try to get it to recalibrate again.
