SOURCE: I can't get our Samsung Blu-ray player(Model

I am not an expert a "tinkerer"at best but I do have the 3600 like you and I have no problems connecting. Make sure there aren't any spaces or special characters in you router name. Follow your instruction manual and get the 3600 connected first then try netflix: Menu, setup, network, set your settings and it will tell you available networks, choose yours, enter your security code then do a connection test. If its not connecting at what step are you having a problem?

How does one stream netflix via Blu Ray wired to ISP through a tv?

First you have to hook up network cable to Blue Ray player and to router
Next update software in Blue Ray player by going thru your menu in blue ray player to settings
If you have your blue ray player with Netflix app then all
you do is click on app and log in.
And make sure HDMI cable is plugged into TV.
And that should work for you. Any problems write me back.

Follow these steps:
1. Connect your device to the internet

My blu-ray won't let me connect to netflix on demand

The photo you put suggests a Samsung BD-P1500 Blu-Ray player which doesn't appear to have Netflix Streaming built in to the player. Follow this link for Samsung players that do support Netflix:

I have a BD-P 1600 Blu-Ray DVD player that sometimes just freezes and will not play any DVDs or stream Netflis or anything. Sometimes the problem goes away after rebooting, but sometimes it behaves this...

Most people will say update your firmware at Samsung support. I'm guessing you've tried that. Also try to reset system also at Samsung support. To do this you just take disc out, hold the FF button down on unit until you see "reset" then select language. Turn system off then hold power button for 15 sec. Then restart system.
As far as Netflix you got to got to system, determine if you are using wireless or cable. You have to set this yourself. scroll to test to make sure you have connection.

Netflix BluRay disc freezes on samsung 1600

I have had this problem a few times myself with clients players. A power down usually helps but only temporarily.
Check your firmware version and available product upgrade here: http://www.samsung.com/us/consumer/tv-video/blu-ray/blu-ray-players/BD-P1600/XAA/index.idx?pagetype=prd_detail&tab=support
