Question about Whirlpool GU2400XTP Built-in Dishwasher
Led light above the normal cycle is continuosly flashing. will not com on will not run
An angel of mercy on another blog posted this solution and it worked for me as well. My Whirlpool Quiet Partner Dishwasher would not work due to the CLEAN light flashing in 7 interval sequences. I followed these steps and my dishwasher is not working perfectly...hope it works for you:
"Well for mine which is a Whirlpool Gold Model # GU2400XTPS3, I found the seq of buttons that I had to push to reset the curcuit board. I think it may of been in this forum somewhere. But I had to push - Sani Rinse, Heated Dry, Sani Rinse, Heated Dry, and then the dishwasher went through it's diagnostic cycle and then after that the light stopped blinking and the dishwasher works great. Supposily, there is a Product Tech Sheet behide the kick panel of every dishwasher, but mine was gone so I had to find the information on the internet. You might want to do a serach for the correct seq of buttons you have to push to reset the curcuit board. If you know for sure that the heating element is bad, you will have to order one. "

1. Close the door
2. Press Hi Temp, Sani Rinse, Hi Temp, Sani Rinse
3. All the the lights should come on and a diagnostic process will initiate.
4. Wait about 10 minutes and your dishwaser will be ready.
Note: If Hi Temp & Sani Rinse do not start the diagnostic process try Sani Rinse & Heated Dry instead.

My Whirlpool Quiet Partner 1 Clean light is blinking and the diswasher will not reset with cancel or allow me to start a new cycle. Can I reset? Why is it blinking?

Sounds like its waiting for you to press the start button or close the door.can you press the cancel/drain button and have the drain motor come on. try light cycle and press start. is the light cycle now blinking?

My Quiet Partner III stopped working.
If I play with the buttons I can get it to start, then it does not complete a cycle.
Should I just bite the bullet and replace the computer - we had a tech in and had no clue and left!

I have a suspicion that the problem may be related to hot water. I can actually get a full cycle out of the machine sometimes if no hot water had been used almost all day (showers, clothes washer, etc.). So the dishwasher will wash. But only rarely. I am having the hot water heater checked to see whether one of the elements is gone. This was a very expensive dishwasher and I am pretty disappointed at it just quitting like it does. If the hot water is the problem, then it is even worse, since you'd think the design would permit the cycle to finish anyway. Whomever designed this product to fail like this isn't a very good engineer. I'll keep you posted on my results. Meanwhile, if you check the water and find that's you're problem, also, please let me know.

I had a similar problem. So I bought a new computer for it. It didn't fix the problem. It turned out to be the button pannel. With all of moisture surrounding it steam go into the buttons and caused all kinds of faulse info that the computer could not interpt. Had to buy new button pannel and problem was fixed.
