SOURCE: pcv valve :where is it located on a 1999 ford explorer sport 2wd

It is located at the back of the engine near the fire wall. It is gray with a T connector at the top with two hoses coming off of the T and going forward into the intake manifold.

The DK BLU/ORG wire from fuse 12 connects to terminal 6. The RED/YEL wire from the multi-function switch connects to terminal 2. A second DK BLU/ORG wire from fuse 12 connects to the multi-function switch and has nothing to do with the headlight switch

try a radio shop that either sells radios and accessories or repairs radios. you should be able to get an adapter that goes between the two so you don`t need to cut and splice.

2004 ford sport trac lights and rear lights not working

Do the brake lights work? if not there is a more serious problem affecting all lights at once.
If they do, The switch unit may be damaged, have a look..
Then check for burnt wiring or damaged wiring near the keyswitch and in the engine bay. Clean all wiring connectors by seperating them and spraying wd 40 on them.

It sounds like a bad earth connection in the vehicle rear wiring loom. Check the earth wire that runs from the globe sockets in the light units and any connectors in the wiring loom near the light assemblies as well as where the earth wire is attached to the body. If necessary, remove, clean thoroughly by removing any corrosion or paint and re-attach securely.

Sounds like the connector nuts are "stuck"?
You may have to cut them off and use hoses and clamps in their places.

Hello nicholsanche,

The only 1999 Ford Escort that I could locate was the ZX2.

What you need is a "wiring harness". The Scosche catalog shows their number Scosche FD16B / FD16 for 1998 and up Ford vehicles. Here is a link to the Scosche product:

Metra also makes wiring harnesses and you can purchase them from www.crutchfield.com. At either Crutchfield or SonicElectronix, you can talk to an audio technician who can look up exactly what harness your vehicle requires. You'll also need some connectors to splice the wiring from your Alpine to the wiring harness. Crutchfield and SonicElectronix sells them also, or you can get them from your local Radio Shack, Lowe's, or even WalMart

You will also need to know the color coding of the vehicle wires. Go here for the '99 Ford Escort.

Hope this helps.
