I can't find a picture of it/them but in general you want to get the BEST audio to your hifi electronics and let stereo-only TV-related audio go TO the TV itself.

FACT: TV speakers are there as a convenience. If they were comparable to hifi electronics and speakers we wouldn't by anything but a TV, right?

CORRELARY: TV is not itself an audio source. Everything it displays and projects soundwise comes from somewhere else at a higher 'fi' than it can reproduce.

So, get your BEST satellite or cable box digital audio out through either coaxial or optical cables to the Pioneer, if it has compatible inputs. This way you can decode multichannel audio broadcasts in electronics designedf for it.

There will also be a stereo pair of RCA jacks at the Sat/Cable boxes that you can run to the TV if it has multiple analog audio inputs. That way you can watch and hear CNN or the Weather on the TV without cranking up the Pioneer.

If you MUST have a TV audio feed to the Pioneer, use its RCA analog audio out to any available input. The TV may have internals controls for volume at those jacks. I recommend choosing a FIXED output level so you can turn the TV speakers down or off and still listen through the Pioneer. But it will be in vanilla stereo only.

What do I need to connect an old TV with only one output on back to a TWC cable box, DVD Player, VCR and a Play Station?

Just connect the PS3 it also works as a DVD player. Do you really need a VCR player? You can get a converter box to stream the VCR footage through the DVD player/ PS3

I have a sony triniton color tv medel 3 KV-DR34M89. How do i connecft and play a DVD on it.. i treid connect the yellow, red and white cables on all the slots but no success. please advise

Connect cables:
Connect yellow to yellow (dvd player to TV)
Connect white to white (dvd player to TV)
Power on DVD and TV and insert a DVD into the player, press PLAY.
Use your TV remote to select the proper input:
Your remote should have a button like INPUT SELECT or Video, keep pressing until you see the DVD players output.

Now have verizon Fios and cannot get DVD player to play

Check the connection cable. If the Verizon box and the DVD player are connecting to the same TV input, ensure that the Verizon fios box is connecting to DVD input, and DVD output is connecting to TV.

If you connect DVD out to Verizon box input, and then TV , you will have to turn off the receiver box to see DVD.

If you use only one TV Input connect Verizon output to DVD input and DVD out to TV.

If instead you use separate inputs on TV, then try using the source/select input button on TV remote, and try different cables.

Regards.

VCR, DVD, TV Connection

first let me say that a dvd player and a dvd recorder are different. the dvd player can only play dvd while a dvd recorder can both play and record dvd that is said. what i understand from what you write is currently is - out of your tv box into your dvd player then out of your player into your tv........ ok some dvd has two connections. line one and line two if your tv box is in line one then you should plug the rca cable in line two in. then you select line two on the dvd player then plug the other end to your vcr in line out so that is out of your vcr into line two of your dvd player.(some times one of the connection is at the front of your player hidden) if your dvd player only have one connection then you would have to plug out your tv box and replace it with the vcr cable and when you finish coping your vhs tape you plug in back your tv box to your dvd player. hope i could help..........
