The Transfrm Application is in all likelihood active, and you must kick it out of memory (not delete it).

  1. Press [APPS] scroll down the list of apps to reach Transfm.
  2. Select Transfrm and press ENTER.
  3. In the screen that is displayed, select the option that uninstalls Transfrm.
  4. Go back to Y= editor and make sure that both or all = signs in the defining equations are highlighted.

How do i find slope and then graph it

Select two points P1 and P2 on the line. Read their coordinates P1(X_1, Y_1), and P2(X_2, Y_2). If the points are given to you that is even better: you will not have to approximate their coordinates.
The slope of the straight line that passes through P1 and P2 is the ratio s=(Y_2-Y_1)/(X_2-X_1).
A slope is a number and cannot be graphed. The line that has the slope can be graphed if you have its complete equation y=slope*x + initial value.
To graph a curve on the TI84 open the Y= editor, type in the second member (right side) of the function say on line Y1= then press the Graph function key.

How to graph a function
Look for a key labeled Y= ( the y= editor) and press it. Use the key pad to type in the right side of the function.
Press Graph to display the graph.
If drawing is out of range set the window parameters. Alternatively (if there is a zoom key) use it to select a ZoomIn, a ZoomOut , Zoom Standard.

How do you find the equation of a exponential graph

Usually ypu know the equation then graph it. However in doing statistics, it may appear that the curve of best for a scatter plot could be could an exponential. In that case you use the STAT application to enter the x-data in List 1 and the y-data in List 2. When you finish press the f1 key to select Graph1. You should also verify by Pressing F6:set that the graph type is set to scatter, and that List 1 contains the x-data and List 2, the y-data. After you verify that all is in order press the F1: Graph 1 key.
As the graph is displayed you will see several tabs with various regression models. Pan thr tabs to the right to get to F2:EXP. Select it.
The equation is displayed on the next screen. At the bottom of the screen you see two tabs COPY and DRAW. Press f5:Copy to copy the equation in one of the y= functions.
Press Draw and you will see the curve of best fit superposed on the scatter plot points.

I cant graph more than one equation at a time, it only allows me to graph one Y value at a time.

A) Before drawing function Y1=f(X), R1=F(Theta), (X1=f(T0, Y1=f(T))
you should turn the statistical plots OFF.
To turn statistical plots off
  1. Press [2nd][Y=] to open the (STAT PLOT) menu.
  2. Select [4:PlotsOff] and
  3. Press [ENTER].
  4. Calculator displays Done
  5. Restart your graphs.
  6. Adjust the window dimensions if necessary or use the ZOOM function to have all graphs displayed.

B) If you cannot draw more than one function

Usually as soon as you start entering an expression in the Y= editor screen, the = sign is highlighted to ensure the drawing of a function. However, if you have previously used the Transfm application to draw dynamic graphs, it takes over the graphing functionalities from the native OS and you can only draw a single graph.
The reason is that dynamic graphing needs one or two parameters that can be changed during the graphing process and the graph redrawn with a new value of a parameter, and you end up with a family of curves differing one from the other by the values of one parameters. But since the calculator has space for 10 graphs at most, only one function can be highlighted.

To make a long story short, you must Uninstall the Transfrm application from memory. The procedure will not erase it, just kick it out of memory.

  1. Press the [Apps] key.
  2. Scroll down or up to reach the Transfmapplication.
  3. Select it and press [ENTER].
  4. If that application was running you will see a new screen that tells you some thing like
    • Transfrm App
    • 1:Uninstall
    • 2:Continue

    Press1:Uninstall.
Graphing functionalities will revert to the native OS

Another potential culprit is the Inequalz App. You recognoze that Inequalz is runnibg if the [ Y=] editor screen shows tabs at the bottom
666ade0.jpg

To uninstall it, do as for the Transfm and select the option that will unload it from memory.
  1. Press [Apps]
  2. Select [ : Inequalz]
  3. Screen displays INEQUAL RUNNING
  • [1:Continue]
  • [2:Quit Inequal]
  • 3:About]
Press [2:Quit Inequal]

If you think that the curve look like a straight line you can try to do a linear regression.
Press [STAT] Arrow right to highlight [CALC]
Select [4: LinReg(ax+b)]

The calculator is only graphing a half circle when it should be a full circle, specifically not in the negative y-values of the plane.

A circle is not a function and cannot be graphed in the regular y=screen. You can graph a circle in parametric mode.

To graph a circle in the regular y= screen, you have to graph it in 2 lines on the y= screen. I assume you've solved for y and gotten a square root equation. Remember a square root can be positive or negative. In line 1 of y= screen graph what you've been graphing and then graph the same equation in line 2 but with a negative in front of the equation. You'll get something that looks like an oval since the calculator screen is rectanglular. To make it look more circular (both parts aren't going to connect), press zoom and then select #5 (square).
