They sell adapters so you can plug more than 1 devise into the electronics input- you might have to buy one, see if the plug looks slimmer.

How to fix1998 toyota sienna ignition problem

If your car does not start, it could be a big problem or a small problem. Anyway, if you know nothing about this, it could be a big problem for the most of time. Do you know how to fix 1998 Toyota Sienna XLE that doesn't start? In this article, we will tell you how to check out the problem or problems that cause this and how to fix them. Before this, we will tell you that if the problem is complicate, you'd better have someone who has such experience help you or you should buy some instructions.
Step 1: first it the battery. We all know that if the battery of your 1998 Toyota Sienna XLE does not have enough voltage and cranking power, it will not start. 12.6 is a normal value. You can bought a multimeter at hardware stores and use it to check the problem. If this is not the problem, then battery cable may have problem. But if your 1998 Toyota Sienna XLE has solenoid mounted on the inside fender, you can test to see if its voltage will go to the starter motor. If not, this process can be neglected.
Step 2: if your 1998 Toyota Sienna XLE does not have the above-mentioned problem, you should check to see if it has fuel in tank. Make sure your gauge has no lose calibration problem. For those who are new comer to fix car, we will remind you that you can never open a true fuel injected system to look for fuel. For some older cars, when you pump your accelerator pedal, you should see gasoline spray into carburetor throttle body. For those cars with electric fuel pumps in the gas tank, you turn the ignition switch and then listen or have someone listen to the filler cap. This will help you check if the pump is working or not.
Step 3: spark check for your 1998 Toyota Sienna XLE. Use an insulation handled screwdriver to ground the metal fitting inside the spark plug boot to the engine and have somebody turn the 1998 Toyota Sienna XLE engine over to see if there is any spark. If there is no spark then maybe you can guess that there is an ignition circuit problem. Remember that if must be insulated absolutely and you should never touch any part that is not insulated.

Looking how to lower spare tire on toyota sienna van

Hello. Welcome to FixYa! Please allow us to assist you.

The procedure is as follows, to remove the spare tire from a 2WD Sienna:

Move the passenger seat as far forward as possible.
Move the passenger side middle seat back as far as possible.
Obtain your tire tool (the one you would use to remove the lugnuts)
Observe the carpeting behind the front passenger seat; you will see a small piece of carpet, like a small 'flap', that can be raised.
Under this flap is a small silver 'bolt'. Fit the lug wrench onto this bolt, and rotate it. This will lower the cable that raises the spare tire up under the area between the passenger front and rear seats.

Note: 4WD Siennas do not have any spare tires, as they came with 'run-flat' tires. Toyota did not fit a spare on the 4WD units.

Thanks for choosing FixYa for assistance today.

Every 3,000 miles or every 3 months, which ever comes first.
If you need the type of oil, look in the owners manual that's in the glove box, that will show what type of oil to use.

Oil and filter changing for 08 sienna. How complicated is it?

You still have to drain the engine oil from the drain plug in the oil pan, and I recommend replacing the drain plug gasket.
If you buy a filter from Toyota, it actually comes with instructions on exactly what to do. There is a 3/8" recess in the bottom of the filter housing, when you put a 3/8" extension and a ratchet in this and remove it, there should be a plastic piece that comes with the filter to pop into the bottom of the housing and drain the oil. replace the o-ring and reinstall the housing drain plug.

You can get a filter-cup tool from Pep Boys or local auto parts tools sections that will fit the filter housing. Use the cup with a ratchet and extension to remove the filter housing. replace the filter cartridge and the o-ring. Make sure to lubricate o-ring, they will snag! Reinstall and add 6.4 qts of oil
