What mean pc printing ? and out op paper?

Hi. This means that the computer has still printing or there are print jobs on queue. You can cancel the print jobs on queue and restart the print spooler service by following the steps below:

  1. Click "start" and go to "Run"

  2. Type "services.msc" at the prompt which will open the Services
    window (ooh, pretty...)

  3. Scroll down the alphabetical list in the right window pane until you come
to the entry with the name "Print Spooler"

  4. Right-click this entry, then select "stop". This will stop the computer
running the process that holds your print queues.

  5. Leaving that window open for now, click again on "Start", and then click
"My Computer" to open a Windows Explorer window.

  6. We've stopped the queue service, now we just have to clear the jam that is
already there. To do this we navigate to the print spool folder which is hiding
within the Windows folders. Usually Windows is installed on C: drive, but you
should be easily able to tell when the Explorer window opens which drive it is

The usual path to the spool folder is
C:\\WINDOWS\\system32\\spool\\PRINTERS, but yours may be slightly
different. Your windows drive may have another name for instance, but this would
be uncommon. So click on your Windows drive (usually C), then double-click on
the Windows folder, and then find the System32 folder and double-click on
that. Windows may warn you that you are about to view system files, but click
"View files anyway" message and search out the "spool folder". Within the
Spool folder is your Printers folder, and you should open

  7. Delete every file within this folder to empty the jammed print queue
(pressing the "ctrl" and "a" keys will select all files and then you can just
    hit "delete").

  8. Close the explorer window now that we have emptied the cleared spool files,
and return to your Services window. we must re-start the Print spool
service, and do so by right-clicking the Print Spool entry and selecting
"Start" from the list. Close the services window and try printing again

Unplug the printer from the power and press and hold the power button down for 30 seconds or so. Then turn the printer around so that the back is facing you. Look for two thumb release latches to open the back end view of the rollers. you should be able to open the hatch in the back to get an unobstructed view of the paper rollers. Clear out any paper jambs in this area. Then turn it around with the front facing you and put your fingers in the groove of the plastic panel right above the fold down tray where the paper comes out and pull the hatch downward towards you. This provides a front view of the inside area where the cartridge carriage goes back and forth. Clear and remove any paper or debris in this area. Then plug the printer back in and turn it on, and it should rotate the paper feed forward before winding backward to the starting position. Leave the hatch in the front open or lean downward so you can see the rollers and turn it on and off again to watch and see if anything is stuck on them (like a sticker or label). If you see something stuck there that appears when the rollers roll forward turn the power off to stop it in motion so that you can reach in and remove it before its rotated towards the back.

Normally ghosting is caused by a bad fuser.
Put paper in the manual feed tray(tray 1)
Print something. As the paper gets 1/2 way into the printer, open the cover..
Look at the paper. If there is no ghosting, the fuser is bad. If there is ghosting, could be a cartridge drum.
Follow these steps print a Print quality troubleshooting page to identify which print cartridge is causing the issue.
  1. Open Toolbox .
  2. Click the Help folder, and then click the Troubleshooting page.
  3. Click Print , to print the page. The page prints five bands of color, which are divided into four overlapping sections. By examining each section, you can isolate the problem to a particular print cartridge. Figure 4: Print quality troubleshooting page bandsc01417618.gif 1 - Yellow 2 - Cyan 3 - Black 4 - Magenta

Dont know where to put paper in

The input paper tray for the iP1800 is accessed by opening the door / tray in the top of the printer. The door serves as the back support for taller paper. The paper thickness lever below the output roller needs to be adjusted depending on paper thickness. Most papers require that it be kept in the left position.

You can view the entire details of the printer by checking the details at:

Paper kam that wont clear

Canon Pixma IP5000 kept giving the blinking yellow light 3 times. Could not find anything. I tried the manila folder forcing a manila folder in on power up through the top feeder as suggested for another Canon Pixma. The folder kind of jammed and pushed it back out of the feeder. And out came a small piece of postit. Couldn't see it so it was somewhere inaccessible and unviewable. The bigger paper was enough to loosen and expel it with the manila folder. I'm guessing the people who put the higher mil (thicker) paper through, clear what ever is causing the problem even if they don't see what is ejected or forced out. Don't know if this will work for you but it thats what happened and the printer works fine now.
