Question about LG WM-3677HW Front Load Washer / Dryer

1 Answer

LG WM3677HW Won't turn ON.

I started a load of laundry, and left the house. I came back to find the machine OFF. Pushing the power button will not turn on the machine. The electrical and water supplies to the machine are good.

I have some electronics training, so I took the machine apart (just a little). 115VAC is getting through the power cord, and through the "noise reducer" to the main circuit board. Without a better electrical diagram, I'm kind of at a loss from there. Is there something simple, like a fuse, that could cause this problem. I hope it isn't a dead circuit board. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Thanks much. Wish I had this when I took the thing apart 2 days ago. Now my landlord is sending out a "professional". It seems that it is one of the boards. The electrical drawing in the document is on the back of the machine, but the troubleshooting flow chart was very helpful.

You replace the whole drain pump. Pretty easy to do from the opening in the bottom by resting the unit on its back. (Make sure you drain the unit completely) You should be able to get the drain pump (pt #4681EA2001D) from for less than $50 + s&h.
