How do you activate/deactivate the alternate keys (blue font) on the keyboard?
Activate:
Ctrl + fn + right shift key
Deactivate:
Ctrl + fn + right shift key twice
so hold ctrl + fn + right shift key then release the right shift key but keep holding the ctrl + fn keys down then push the right shift key again and that should deactivate it

thank you thank you these stupid blue keys have been driving me crazy - the colour makes them hard to see and I have tried everything in windows 7 and windows 7 help and control panel to deactivate and finally someone knows what they`re doing!

First hold down the ctrl on the left side, then also hold down the shift above on the left side and then holding both of these down I hit the shift on the right side and then let them all go at the same time. It worked for me. NB

THANKYOU THANKYOU THANKYOU! ive been going CRAZY for the last month trying to figure out how to do it. THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH! :)

for me to
To get rid of the alternate keys
****This time I hit first the ctrl (on the left side) keep holding it then the shift above(keep holding it too) and then the shift on the right side and let them all go at the same time and it went away
OR if that one doesn't work try the one below.....
Hold down control, alt and fin and then hit the backwards erase key (the large one , 2nd row from top on right side) and you will have the normal keys again

My HP laptop was from Canada and this worked out to toggle between the normal keyboard and the blue keys. Press "Left shift" + "Left alt" together and double click "Right Shift".
