Question about Krups XP7225 Espresso Machine

Code error 06 in Krups XP7225 Espresso Machine Ok, I recognize which was my devasting problem. After decalcificating program I tried to make one cup of coffe WITHOUT filter put again. Naturally, the machine stopped the program and marks that error 06, then I re-started with the water filter in its place but now it doesn't respond correctly. No coffe, no cleaning-cycle till ending, no nothing. When I start something, the machine automatically stops and starts the Auto-test thing, then it makes some noises for a while but doesn't drops any water or coffe through the usual ways, it only go to the front-water-tray. Please, if there is something I can do for fixin' this freakin' problem, like cleanin' inside or something, please tell me, I really need your help. Fixya, you're my only hope :-(

    "Hi,

The error 06 comes after start up and machine in auto test - happens because of more than one problem. However first unplug the machine and then remove the water tank filter (the cylinder inside the water tank) and wash it up. Actually the filter should probably be replaced. However fix it back in the water tank and tide it safely upon the exit ring.
Now restart the machine and let it perform the automatic self testing.

Please get back to us if you have any further query.

Ok, let's go then. Let me tell you how it's goin': In a first moment I quit the filter with the machine turned off, I struggled the Clairis cilinder a little bit for expulsing old water and I made like a cocktail in air for drying it all I could. Then I put it again, I turned on the machine, and it started automatically Auto-test. For my surprise, this time the machine really did it till the end. That gave me hope, but then it said in the screen with a warning signal inside a triangle: 'Cleaning stopped' -'Limpieza detenida', in spanish-, and not gave me more choice than to 'restart' that program. When the process was finishin' -minute 15 over 20-, let's appear again the error code 06. That was cruel, man.

In this precisely moments I have changed the damned filter totally for a new one -that cost around 17€ by here, that's a pity- and now it have done the Auto-test and the washin' program almost completely, it finished the first one and started the second one, but in the minute 19 over 20, in the screens appears again ' Cleaning stopped', forcing me to start again the washin' process, in this 2nd time, it stopped at the beginning and put again the error code 06. Now I feel really desperate, each time I turn off and on the machine, it says me to start the cleanin' process, and that it seems a neverending way without real solution :-(

I listen every advice you can give me, but I want to ask if it's any way to SKIP the cleaning process, I just can imagine that it's a mistake that the machine asks everytime for this over and over again. It's possible to reset the internal computer ? What more can I do ?

I have to say that this machine has really sense of rhythm, it sounds, rumbles and makes funny noises all the time is working on it.

Please get back to us if you have any further query.

Ok, let me tell U that I changed the water-filter Clairis by a new one and it DOESN'T solve the problem, in few minutes and without any coffe done, the freakin' error code 06 was there again kiddin' me.

In spite of the filter change, I've left the machine in an official tech service here in Madrid (Spain), and now I'm waitin' the diagnosis of the experts, but definitely the home-made-solutions here exposed in my particular -and not painless- case didn't work. :-(

Last time I gave the coffe-machine to this place, they prefered to replace it entirely than to fix the problem -that cost around 100€ at least-, so I'll keep you updated about what happens this time.

Thank U for your time anyway.

Yeah, man. I replaced the filter and the error code wasn't fixed :-)

Hi,

Error 06 - Pump in actuator down phase

The flow has not dropped (> 50ml/min)
after the actuator has been filled to the
maximum (80ml); there is a water
leakage and the actuator does not fill
Look for the leakage source:
hoses, actuator, priming valve?
Switch or distributor switch
control fault: incorrect detection
of cams error in distributor
position in cylinder descent
phase.
Flowmeter hoses changed over
Distributor problem (leakage at
drain ..)
Faulty connection between the
2 picto boards
If no leak detected, replace
power board V26 with V29

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Error code 6

I have a Krups XP7225 and I believe that the Error Code 6 reports back that the machine detects something is not in order after performing its auto-test. I'm not sure if it is specific to any one thing. I recommend removing the items that can be cleaned and replace after washing. You can try cleaning tablets to decalcify or you can open up the machine to look for obstructions.

Water leaking from the bottom of the XP7225. I empty the cup holder after every two or three uses - no luck. Any idea?

it is a common issue. See the posts for xp7240. The seal within the plunger is worn or dirty or the valve is sticky. Posted both instructions on other posts.

You can just removed the water tank filter (the cylinder inside the water tank) and washed it up. (Actually the filter should probably be replaced). Fix it back in the water tank and tide it safety upon the exit ring.

Don't forget to unplug the machine BEFORE doing this.
Next, restart the machine and let it perform the automatic self testing.

Error code 06

The error 06 happens because one of the services – Rinsing, Cleaning, Descaling or Replace Water Filter is out of date.
Start in a sequence and go through ALL services. Go to “Machine Information” in “Programme” Mode to ensure that “Last” reads zero or a maximum of something below 10 and your machine will NO longer give start up problem. Please report it if this still occurs, because a computer reset can be done.
