Sounds like a bad connection to whatever you have it connected to (cable box, dvd player, etc). Check the connection and then replace cables.

Tv is froze up or something

Just make a hard reset to this set and try. Unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 10 minutes or so. This must make it a hard reset. Still the problem persists, contact any experienced service technician. The digital board should be checked.

My emerson tv standby light is on the power light flashes twice

Mine stayed in stanby mode and all I had to do was to switch the plug to a different outlet. The power strip it was on wasn't providing enough power. It worked fine for a month before I had a problem.

Tv wont turn on

The sound can be called screaming from the power supply,it senses a short and creates a frequency you can hear, the set has a problem and it needs to be repaired,I will check the horizontal out put transistor for a short, sometimes it goes bad without a reason and sometimes the high voltage transformer is also bad and both have to be replaced but first the transistor only if it goes bad again then you replaced the transformer too.Seek assistance from a servicer if you are not too familiar with tv service,it can be dangerous.
