Question about Vacuums

1 Answer

I have recently bought a Delta Digital Timer from Aldi. At 11am I decided to test it out quickly and see if it works. I set it to turn on at 11:05am and to turn off at 11:06am. At least that's what I thought I did, I followed the instructions but nothing, I'm confused about the display when you can change settings from 'ON','ON/AUTO','OFF','OFF/AUTO'. It has worked during the time I tested it but it worked while I thought the settings were incorrect. What I want is for it to turn on at a certain time then turn off but when I try 'OFF/AUTO' it seems to turn the whole timer thing off altogether! When i try 'ON/AUTO' the light turns on and the time I set it to turn on it turns off! It's just confusing me, sorry it's so much to read and understand but I hope you can just give me a hint on what I might be doing wrong... Thanks

SOURCE: Manual Mode doesn't work

I also just bought one and used it on the 6 min. cycle it worked great, then the 3 min. cycle also no problem, when I tried the manual mode it just flashed the green light then went out, I tried this numerus times no luck then I had to go for dinner and a movie so I unplugged the unit from the wall plug and left the hose brush assembly laying on the carpet, after about 3 hours ( dinner and a movie ) I pressed the manual mode and it started right up, I think the system may have a reset internally, like a surge protector or something, anyway try this see if it works for you.

SOURCE: I have an Amana above

  1. Push the power cord all the way into the outlet in case it became loose and is causing the problem. If the microwave still isn't working, check for a blown circuit fuse, and repair it.
  2. Step 2 Check that the controls on the microwave are programmed correctly according to the owner's manual. If they aren't, program them.
  3. Step 3 Close the microwave door firmly. Touch the cook function on the Start Pad, not the timer. Check if the microwave works. If not, continue to step 4.
  4. Step 4 Program the Power Level correctly. If it's not programmed properly, the microwave will cook the food too quickly or too slowly.
  5. Step 5 Use only microwave safe dishes. Make sure food is evenly shaped and defrosted before placing it in the Amana Radarange microwave.
jQuery('.article ol .image').each(function(i,e){ var $this = jQuery(this); $this.find('img').error(function(){ jQuery(this).remove(); $this.remove(); }); });

SOURCE: GE 15086 7-day Digital Wall

I think this is the dealy timer you have installed and if your relay is connected to the other side it becomes and switched on timer.
So I think if the timer controller is correct you must connect the lamp to the OFF relay and when the door is opened the lamp wil light up for the designated time set.
Is that so?

SOURCE: GE 7 day timer 15091

1) If you have chronic problems with electronic timers, then circuit is suspect. Buy cheap circuit analyzer and plug into same outlet. Try timer on different outlet on different circuit breaker. Change Load (lamp, fan) to see if same problem occurs with different load.

2) Maximum load for GE 15091 is 600 watts incandescent. There is no HP rating, so timer probably not made for motor loads since motors draw high initial amperage. For heavier duty timer, with 1250W incandescent and 1/3 HP, select Woods 59201.

3) I have tested GE timers. They are made well.
The 15091 is sold under different brand names, so it is successful design that's been around a while.

I have a new Electrolux 4300A (Ultraactive Deep Clean Canister) and the powerhead brushruoll has stopped working. Where is the reset button?

I have repaired many of these and to be honest your best course to to call Electrolux Home Care and find your nearest warranty station. The reason for this is it should cost you nothing and without the on ohm meter and a prior knowledge of how these are put together, you would not be in for a fun afternoon. Call them and explain the problem, most likely you have a broken or pinched wire in the neck assembly and will need a replacement. The wires to the neck attach directly to the main circuit board near the height adjustment, but to retain your warranty call Electrolux now... put down your mouse and call them so you can go back to enjoying your recent purchase with confidence.

I have aMicromark MM9533 7day electronic timer (could be quite old), but cannot set it because I have lost my instructions. I can set the time ok, but when I try to set each day's on/off times, it...

There are eight timer on/off events, you set each of the on and off time pairs for a particular day of the week or combination of days. If it is that old, mine was bought in 1999 and just rediscovered, you should change the button battery found under the screw panel. The timer doesn't work the way you seem to be describing.

Bought 2 Intermatic DT500CH Digital self-adjusting timers. Freidman's Hardware tried to program them for me, not working. 87 yrs. young....need some help.

The good news is that this timer comes with a lifetime warranty.
The bad news is that I have instruction manual, but the manual is several pages long: Too long to write out.

Add a comment and tell me exactly how you want to set this timer. What programming you want.
Then I will write back and get you started.
Then you can add a comment, and I can add more help.

Or see if a neighbor can help.
Or you can take advantage of fixya live help, and for a price fixya expert talks to you over phone.

I bought a Kenmore 30012 Quick Clean Vacuum on 7/5/2011 it was working fine till just recently. Its not picking up anything off my rug, I've cleaned the filters, the belt is fine. It was blowing dust...

A clogged inlet. Something is likely clogging the opening where the dirt goes in. Paper, cellophane, or anything else light enough to get sucked in but too large to pass through.

I have a First Alert model 610 timer. It is an older model and I need the instructions for it.

I called First Alert @ (800) 323-9005 and they faxed me the instructions for Model LS510 which is the same and got it working. They will mail it too but not email. Choose Fixed or Random mode. Choose how many hours it will stay on after dusk. Turn your lamp off and unplug the lamp. Plug lamp into timer. Put function in Fixed or Random position. Put hours on switch to number of hours you want it remain on after dusk. Plug timer into the wall outlet. Turn the lamp's switch on and Timer's LED light should be on and the lamp should be off. Turn the lamp's switch off then on again TWICE. The second time you turn the lamp's switch on the bulb in the lamp will flach on then off quickly. This indicates that the Timer is controlling the lamp's operation. Leave the lamp switch in the ON position. The timer is now set for automatic. I hope this helps.
