Question about Cuisinart Kitchen Appliances - Others
Mine had toast fragments in the bottom. I broke those up and shook them out of the toaster, and now the lever stays down.

On most appliances the knob on the lever pulls off and the cover is then lifted off the lever. Check that the bi-metal strip that latches the toast ejector has not been bent or damaged. Once you have the cover you will be able ot see the whole mechanism.
