Question about RCA 20F510TD 20 in. TV/DVD Combo

Dish Network remote code for RCA 20F510TD TV/DVD

I just had Disk Network installed and I have triied scanning for the correct code, and triing individual codes located on pages 130 - 132 of the HDTV DVR Satellite Reciever User's Guide manual. I have not been successful in programing the dish network remote control to operate this TV. Any assistance is very much appreciated.

    I have the same poblem. Cannot get the Dish Network remote to work with my RCA 20F510TD TV.

want to know the codes and way to program this rca dish remote model RCR500SAM1 for my Toshiba tv.
ive done it a few years ago but forgot.
so i need the codes for toshiba tv and way to program this rca dish network remote.

I have a solution same problem and everythin. try the code 2473 and it should work. this is a master override code and it will work for any remote and every tv it is the basic tv code so it works with all models

I have had a similar problem with an older VCR/TV combo. Wasn't able to get full functions on the Dish remote, but was able to get it to recognize it as a VCR so we could at least power it on/off with the remote - but had to push VCR button and use the regular power button on the remote, not the TV button.

Can't use this remote to change volume or any other functions.

This is apparently a problem with many combo units - because they're not a true TV or DVD player but a hybrid.

I'm sorry you are having problems programming your DISH Network remote to your Apex DVD player. I looked through our remote codes but I don't show we have a code for an Apex DVD player. We do have remote codes for an Apex TV. You can run a power scan to see if you can find a code for the DVD player. I have provided the instructions to conduct the power scan below.   • Remote: All Remotes (except Basic)
    1. With the desired equipment on, press and hold the correct Mode button until all mode button backlights illuminate, then release.
    2. Press and release the Power button. AUX Mode: Before pressing and releasing the Power button
      • Press 0 for a TV
      • Press 1 for a VCR/DVD
      • Press 2 for any other device.
      Then Press STAR (*)
    3. Press the Up button once a second while pointing the remote at the desired equipment. Note: If the code for the equipment comes up, the equipment will power off.
    4. Press the POUND (#) button. If the code entered is valid for the remote, the mode light flashes three times.

I hope that after 9 months, you have gotten this resolved but if you have any problems, or you have another remote you would like to program, here are some simple steps!!!

The first instructions here are for a power scan, which scans the tv for the correct code for the remote. You just hold down the clear TV button until all lights at the top of the remote light up, then press the Power button, then press the up arrow about once a second, until the tv turns off. If the tv turns off, press the # (pound) button. Try your volume and to power the tv on/off. If one or both of these do not work, start the process over.

If you want to use only codes, here are the steps:
1. Hold down the clear TV button until all lights at the top of the remote light up.
2. Punch in the 3-digit code (provided below for RCA tv.)
3. Press the # (pound) button
4. Try the volume, and to power the tv on/off. If one or both do not work, start again at step 1 with a different code.

Dish network remote to run RCA DVD player
I had rca remote that did not recieve ir signals but rf signals instead. Check online with rca or in owners manual for what type of signal factory remote sends. The dvd player I had was 5 dvd and that was the case. Dish might have an option like direct tv where you can program rf signals as well. Call dish network support or look online

I have a code of 749 for it,if not ,try this,press and hold TV button until all the lights come on,press and release the POWER button,press the up button once a second while pointing the remote at the TV,when the remote has found the correct code,the TV will turn on or off,press the pound # button, if it is correct, it will blink three times. ..hope this helps..

You can power scan for the code.
Turn ON the electronic device you want to program the remote to control.
Press the Mode button( sat,tv,dvd,aux) on the remote until the appropriate mode light is flashing.

Press the Power button. The mode light will stop flashing and stay lit.
Press the Up or Down arrow button to set the remote to the next code. The Down arrow button scans backward and the Up arrow button scans forward.
When the correct code is reached, the device (whether a TV, VCR, or other) will turn off.

Press the pound key button to store the code in the remote control memory. If the code is valid for your remote, the mode light will blink 3 times.
Turn the device back ON by pressing the Power button.
Press sat mode key once you power back on the tv to be able to operate the receiver box.
Try some other functions to make sure you have the correct code. Occasionally the Power button may work when others do not.
If the other buttons work you are finished.

If the other buttons do not work, repeat the previous steps. The scan will resume from the last code stored.
The mode light will flash rapidly when the scan has returned to the starting point and all codes have been tested for that mode. The remote control may not control some device models.

My R C A Remote will not turn my R CA T V DVD off
If you have an RCA TV/DVD combo model #20F510TD....... I may be able to help....somewhat.
I was able to program a (Walmart) RCA 3 device universal remote control ( $9.96)
but only for the TV. I could not get the remote to program for the DVD.

The code for the TV function is #1122. Good Luck!!!!!

I have that RCA 20F510TD 20in. TV/DVD Combo, and I purchased an RCA SYSTEMLINK 6 remote to use with the TV. When I follow the steps to use the code search to find a code, it does'nt work. you have to repeatedly press the on/off button after first pressing the code search, then the TV button...seems like it takes forever to lock a code in; which it has'nt. So will someone help me with this????
