Question about Campbell Hausfeld Air Tools & Compressors

I also have a question about wiring my upright 60 gallon Husky Pro compressor. I see wires coming from the motor to a platic covered box where there is a red switch to switch the compressor from auto to off. It looks like there is a round hole there to accomodate the wire that would be attatched. Problem is that I can't get that plastic cover off to expose the area where I would attach wires...is something that I am missing? Can't find screws or anything to remove that platic cover and the booklet from the manufacture doesn't have anything related to wiring the compressor. HELP!

Thanks for the reply....tried prying this to the point of breaking it (haven't yet) and can't get it to budge much...in fact, only one end (where the cord would emerge) seems to move but the other end is extremely tight on the compressor. I will be using this for soda blasting which is recommended for 10cfm and 90psi....wondering now after reading other posts if this will suffice....hmmmm. Of course I need to get the wire installed onto the compressor first to find out.

How to wire capacitors on a 26 gal. model 671049 air compressor?

Well, got to local hardware store, pick up 12/3 soow/soo wire, new plug, LOTS of electrical tape (lol one rollwould work 3M type 88 is best), 3 12ga wire nuts. splice in the wire( white-white, black-black, green-green) near the motor. Cover the spliced area with enough tape to well cover the splice area; more than just one layer of tape (do not be afraid to pull on tape; it holds better when tape is pulled and stretched). Connect the plug; white to silver, black to gold/brass, green to grounding lug/green. place a slight loop (4-6" dia) with spiced area opposite of where cable passes its self. either tape and/or zip-tie so no strain is placed on the splice. At this point compressor should be working.

How to wire

There is a diagram of the wiring on
motors on the small removable plate
at the one end

How to wire for 120 volt or 240 volt is inside
on that cover OR on the bigger label on the outside
of the case

I assume you have no owners manual to support
what the motor labels say.

Your compressor will work in the vertical position however you will not be able to properly drain the water from the tank in this position.

My 1.7 26 gallon husky upright will not come on at all

Did you trip the reset button? It should be there someplace i a spot where you can't see it, just push it till it clicks, make sure the switch is on. Hope this helps.

I have a husky 20 gallon air compressor, it tiped over and knocked the capacitor off the motor, and knocked the wires off the capacitor, and I need to know how to wire it back up, it will not run, Thanks

I need a wiring diagram for a kobalt 60 gallon air compressor

If it's a 220 volt motor, hook l1 and l2 (220 volts) to the line terminals. If it's a'dual voltage' motor (120 or 220)and you want to use 120, hook 120 to the terminals marked 'line'. Make sure the motor is connected for the voltage you're using if it's dual voltage.
