I have a kitchen aid food processor kfpm775, I have had endless problems. I have a new bowl and lid,it worked once.It has been assembled properly and done the check on the motor, which seems fine.

To work properly the bowl needs to first be in the correct place, on model 770 which we have here it is handle in the middle at the front. Then the lid goes on, it's obvious which way is correct with that part and then the pusher must be in the tube to activate the safety cut off switch. It is very rarely the cutoff switch itself which is inside the motor housing. If you look at the motor unit without the bowl on you can see right in the middle up by the top of the housing a hole with white plastic inside it. That's the safety switch that all the levers in the bowl & lid activate. If you turn the unit on (no bowl) and push the run switch down then activate that safety switch be depressing it in with something plastic the motor should run. That will prove to you at least that it's not the motor. That model is close to end of life now, bowls & lids are scarce and the general purpose blade is finished.

Insert pusher

"insert pusher" ...this just happened to me too! Such a simple fix! ...The handle needs to face the front!.. Yes, it all clicks in nice the other way around, but if the handle is facing the rear of the unit, you will get the error "insert pusher" and the machine will not work.

Kitchen aid food processor blade is not spining neither the motor

Remove bowl completely. Turn motor on and use something plastic to push in the little white button in that is just above the button control panel and normally hidden by the bowl base. If it goes then the problem will be either the working bowl or the lid. There are mechanisms in both that activate that micro switch, they can wear or break. Good luck figuring out which one it is as they are both as likely to be the faulty one.

Cannot turn the lid on to kitchenaid food processor

It sounds like you need a new working bowl. It is not uncommon for that safety switch mechanism to fail inside the handle.

I have a cuisinart pro classic food processor, and even though bowl and top are locked in place, it will not start.

On the processor look at the bowl and lid and see where they are supposed to engage the motor. If this is broken then that is the problem, find something to push on where the part of the the bowl and lid assembly would push, if it comes on then you have figured out the problem.

My magic bullet won't press down. It stays stuck and I cannot get the cup to push down onto the turning mechanism that is totally intact. It seems the side 3 pieces will not move downward when the cup is...

Had the same problem - it wouldn't press down. The little white plastic things inside of the base that go up and down when the cup is pushed down, were stuck. I think that something leaked into them so they wouldn't slide easily. I wiped out the inside of the base with a damp cloth and then I put a drop or two of WD40 at the top of the white plastic pieces and rubbed it up and down the length of all 3 of the white plastic pieces (this being done with the base lying on its side so the WD40 doesn't drip down into the mechanism). Then, with base upright, I used a screwdriver to try to manually push the white plastic pieces down. It worked. Of course before doing any of this - be sure the thing is unplugged (duh!).

Cuisinart dlc-7 superpro food processor won't run.

The DLC-7 SuperPro is awesome -- very powerfull. Be aware they are 1.5 horsepower; the blade can take your hand completely off in a blink of an eye. Because of the potential danger, SAFEGUARDS are in place such that everything must be aligned and in correct position or it WILL NOT POWER-UP. So, yes, is very likely the safety switch.

Simple test: Use just the BASE, (no work bucket, no top, no blades), such that if it starts, only the spindle will turn. There is a little black button on the base, just back of the spindle. Use a chop-stick to depress it. Plug-in, press the button w/chop-stik, press the PULSE button. It should power up.

Presuming it powered up okay, the "problem" is probably in how the unit is assembled; such that the button is depressed properly.
1. The work bowl must be all the way down on the base, and the alignment column in the back, work bowl base skirt turned to the "Hard Stop". It will feel very solid when docked properly.
2. The top inserts and rotates into and snaps into position while pressing the plunger into the button.

It all sounds too easy, but if something is just a little off, the plunger doesn't plunge ind the power doesn't go on.

These are FABULOUS machines -- spend the time into getting it working. The near- equivalent if something this robust and powerful in today's products will cost nearly a THOUSAND dollars - seriously.

Motor runs but switch won't activate despite new parts

Make sure the handle of the bowl is facing the front of the food processor. Place the lid tab just to the left of the handle and slide it toward the handle until it won't turn anymore. Remove the pusher sleeve from the lid and reinsert it with the lock facing the front of the food processor. Slide the lock into the locked position. If it still doesn't work, replace the third piece on the work bowl - the one piece that you haven't replaced. It will then work.
