I'm watching live TV or recorded TV and it flashes up with a black screen saying "no sync signal".......turn TV off and then on and its all ok??????? anyone?????

How do i fix the Lip sync on our new TV?


lip sync is the combination of the two signal carrier frequencies being out of sync
one signal carries sound and the other the picture and they normally come together correctly but that can be upset by a blip in the power supply, problems in the signal from the station or atmospheric disturbance
try changing channels a few times , try shutting the set down and then restarting it
read the operators manual for any clues in the trouble shooting section
Lastly talk with a repair shop for any advice on how to fix

2.5L Engines
On the 2.5L 4cylinder engine the Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor is located in the distributor.
The sensor contains a Hall effect device called a sync signal generator to generate a fuel sync signal. This sync signal generator detects a rotating pulse ring (shutter) on the distributor shaft. The pulse ring rotates 180 degrees through the sync signal generator. Its signal is used in conjunction with the Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor to differentiate between fuel injection and spark events. It is also used to synchronize the fuel injectors with their respective cylinders.
When the leading edge of the pulse ring (shutter) enters the sync signal generator, the following occurs: The interruption of magnetic field causes the voltage to switch high resulting in a sync signal of approximately 5 volts. When the trailing edge of the pulse ring (shutter) leaves the sync signal generator, the following occurs: The change of the magnetic field causes the sync signal voltage to switch low to 0 volts. 4.0L

The Camshaft Position Sensor (CMP) on the 5.7L V-8 engine is located below the generator on the timing chain / case cover on the right/front side of engine.

The CMP sensor is used in conjunction with the crankshaft position sensor to differentiate between fuel injection and spark events. It is also used to synchronize the fuel injectors with their respective cylinders. The sensor generates electrical pulses. These pulses (signals) are sent to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). The PCM will then determine crankshaft position from both the camshaft position sensor and crankshaft position sensor.
The tone wheel is located at the front of the camshaft (2). As the tone wheel rotates, notches (3) pass through the sync signal generator.
When the cam gear is rotating, the sensor will detect the notches. Input voltage from the sensor to the PCM will then switch from a low (approximately 0.3 volts) to a high (approximately 5 volts). When the sensor detects a notch has passed, the input voltage switches back low to approximately 0.3 voltsthe CMP sensor is used in conjunction with the crankshaft position sensor to differentiate between fuel injection and spark events. Will not regonize computer source


The projector looks for Horizontal sync & Vertical sync signals from the VGA source. If it finds these signals only then the source is connected. Even if the sync signals are found, the RGB switching should be working. Either there is a problem in sync circuitry or RGB switching. You need to be well conversant with the circuitry.

No sync no signal


Tries tv and those pay boxes unplug,replug it back like about an hour later.By letting the tv resetting itself back to the factory setting.Those pay boxes,now will be rebooting and upgrading it softwares.The incomming broadcasting signal sync problems should be solved,if still have no sync signal flashing,than 90-95% those pay boxes have a problems.Call ur cables providers exchange the reciever box.

In a move my NEC MultiSync 5FG monitor got disconnected from its BNC cable (5 BNC). Now I don't know which leads connects to which ports. Can anyone help?


The cable should be labeled with R (RED video signal), G (GREEN video signal), B (BLUE video signal), V (Vertical Sync signal), and H (Horizontal Sync signal), so you just have to match the plug to the sockets.
I hope it is clear explanations.

No signal from hand controller to console


You probably need to sync your Wii-mote to your Wii. Open the battery compartment on the remote and the SD card door on the front of your Wii. Press the red SYNC button on your Wii and then on the controller. You know it is synced when a solid LED light is shining at the bottom of the Wii-mote.

Component Video losing sync with too much White signal


I had this exact same issue. I tried two different component AV switches, and shorter cables to prevent signal loss, but any time there was too much white on the screen, the video still lost sync. Plugging the sources directly into the TV solves this problem, but since I have a DVD player, a game console, etc, this was not acceptable. The way I resolved it was to (sadly?) buy an expensive component AV switch that can support the bandwidth without losing the signal.
I wound up spending the extra money on a Key Digital 4x1 component switch. It is much more expensive, but it works.
