Question about Apple iPhone 3G
My iPhone 3g like many others has poor reception and poor 3g, most of the time I find myself using the edge 2.5G.
I read that this is chip related, does this mean that Apple will change the faulted chips? Is there a way to fix this problem by myself?
is your iPhone 3g acting up also?
AT&T doesn't have good 3G service. Often you may find that you do not have 3G reception, and the phone switches to EDGE. This is not a problem with the iPhone. I live in a metropolitan area, so I do not experience problems, since 3G coverage is good. However, when i travel around, often i go to EDGE as well. Like i said this is a problem with the network and not your phone.

Tips for a great answer:
If you can take advantage of a nearby wireless hub, you'll have much better speed than when you're on a cell-phone data network... but even without wireless, you can still browse, email, work and play via the EDGE or 3G cell-phone network.
