Let's break this into little pieces. Disregarding the TV, does the Marantz otherwise provide multichannel sound?

How is the TV-related audio getting into the Marantz? Analog RCA yields only 2-channel audio.

Two front speakers are only capable of two channel sound.

It sounds like you've read one of my many posts on 901 deployment in the AV world.

Functionally, what is the difference between one amp with 'x' channels or 'x' mono amps? Nothing. Pre-outs don't know or care what else an external amp does.

According to this link http://www.ecoustics.com/electronics/products/new/642968.html those amps are 2- and 5-channel, respectively.

There was a time when I had two bridged-mono Carver Cube atmps (at a real 400 watts) pushing one 901 each but that was big time overkill.

I now use a Carver AV-406 (functionally the same as your MM7055) with the 901 EQ in between the AV Receiver's front pre-outs and two 110-watt channels. Other channels on the AV-406 pull subwoofer and surround back duties. My AVR directly powers only the center and surround speakers.

The MM7025 would work for you.

Hook, yes. Use with NON-Bose 901 speakers, NO.

The 901's need a dedicated amplifier. Get one, then use the L/R Pre-Outs to feed it.

There could be a short in one (or more) of the speaker connections. Try disconnecting all speakers and turning on the receiver. If it still switches to standby, there may be an internal problem.

Marantz SR7005 not working.

I have the same receiver SR7005 and the HDMI board went out. The boards are on back order and weren't expected to ship for a month or so. Magnolia, the store where I purchased it gave me a new receiver. I think they might be having issues with this board. The board went out on 4/30/12, just got my new receiver 6/21/12. I have a feeling that this will happen again and others will have the same issue. All you need is a new HDMI board, the processor went out in it.

Do you mean SR-8200? You can't omit the details of a model number if you want a good answer.

Assuming it is...

http://www.retrevo.com/support/Marantz-SR8200-Receivers-manual/id/511ci775/t/2/

Run the 901's with the Active EQ between the receiver Front L and R Pre-Outputs and the mono block amps, one chanel to each.

Pre Out Channel X >>> Bose EQ Amplifer IN, then Bose EQ Amplier OUT >>> Monoblock IN

http://community.klipsch.com/forums/storage/74/1341919/200w%20mono%2005.jpg

I can't find a manual for the MA700. Set them up to a certain volume and then use the speaker setup routines of the SR to match everything up volume-wise. Control will be in the AVR.

Hi, I have recently purchased an SR7005 which is connected to an HD PVR via Audioquest Cinammon HDMI cable. While watching programs, I lose audio immediately after an advertisement break. If I pause...

If you are watching adverts that implies a broadcast TV sound signal. What happens is that the broadcaster will switch off sound especially Dolby signals during add breaks. Therefore it could be your TV that stops sending the sound to the Marantz. So check the sound settings of you TV. It might have an auto feature that detects the signals, that could be switched to manual or just a wrong sound signal that causes the problem.

I cannot get my new center speaker to work???

Hi on a Denon receiver you generally have to do two things. By entering the on-screen setup go to speaker setup and select the center speaker and surround speakers if you have them. Depending on the age of the receiver it will ask you to select between yes or no (on or off) or none, small or large.

(most centers are considered small unless they have 5" or larger mid-bass drivers)

Next you will have to select a mode that activates the surround sound mode usually Dolby but many have alternates such as Neo, theater etc..

This should activate the center channel, you will need to then adjust it using the "Tone generator" or the Audessy setup program.

The goal is to have the same amount of sound coming from your front three speakers.
Hope that helps

I had the same problem and fixed it by manually setting the surround speakers changing the Level Cal to +12dB. You will immediately notice a significant increase in volume and may need to back down on the dB's. What a diffence it makes!

Subwoofer volume and sound

i had the same problem when i tried to adjust speaker output levels, distance and equalizer manually without using audessy setup..so i reset everything to factory setting (0s)..and then ran
audessy setup..reduce volume on your subwoofer to slightly above minimum(behind the subwoofer) before running the setup..once audessy setup is completed successfully..i started changing setup
manually..changed speaker config for front speaker to small (it is set as large by audessy setup), this should automatically adjust center and other speaker configuration (if not make sure to set them to small as well), then set the cross over frequency to 120..increase the volume on your subwoofer and now you should hear it fire..if this does not help..try playing some rock music with all channel streo mode..if your subwoofer does not fire even for this..then take the system back for exchange..
