Question about D-Link 802.11g Wireless Router WBR-1310 (WBR1310)

1 Answer

Hello, I've had my D-Link router for about 5 years now. The model is WBR-1310. The connection worked fine up until today. I took off the connectivity between the router and my PC about 6 months ago, and the router continued working. I currently have my laptop and my PS3 connected to the router. I successfully connected to the internet on both devices via the router just yesterday. How can I solve this problem? I've gone through all the necessary networking troubleshoots and I've reset all the devices that could have possibly affected the connection between my devices and the internet. I'm able to connect to the internet on my laptop if I directly connect it via Ethernet cable to the router and my laptop recognizes the signal that the router is giving off though it still says I cannot connect to it using my laptop's WiFi capabilities anymore. Quick immediate response would be much appreciated, I have to use my laptop for work everyday. Thank You.

I never set the router as a Secure network and when I tried to do it today...i do not know the login or password. The router is over a year old. It is a d-link wbr 1310 S F312274013867

Try 4 combinations:
* blank ID, and blank password,
* blank ID, and password of 'admin',
* ID of 'admin', and blank password,
* ID of 'admin', and password of 'admin'.

Failing all the above, do a "hardware-reset" on the router, and try the above 4 again -- one of the 4 will work.

WIFI & WBR 1310

Fix your router again. If the wifi is fine, you just have to let the nintendo search for the wireless network and connect to it. You don't have to do anything on the router to let your nintendo to connect.

if you are wireless, after a reset you need to connect with the router using an RJ45 lan connector lead. Reboot your notebook, while connect to router and then type in the default address for the set up page normally 192.168.0.1
