Hello there, the TLKR is a great unit which is durable and has great service. If the set of 5 you have are not functioning fine then i think the problem has to do with setting up the unit. I tried locating a user manual to help you carry out the set up properly but could not locate one for the T3 but i located one for the T4 they use the same procedures for setup although the T4 has slightly more features.
Here is the link
http://www.motorola.com/web/Business/Products/ConsumerTwo-WayRadios/MOTOTLKR_T4/_Documents/T4_Manual_v1.pdf

if after setting it up with this instructions they still dont work then the units are faulty and should be returned back to the suppliers.
Hope this solution has been helpful?

Hello,Check your programming. The frequency and code must be identical on the two radios. Here is a link to the user guide http://www.gouldelectronics.co.uk/product-downloads/T5-20Manual-20EU.PDF

The description you give is indiciative of the code being set differently between the two radios. For basic operation set the code to off (zero).ensure the frequency is well programmed.

take care.

Motorola TLKR T3 one way not working but Monitor works...

Check your Private Line (aka interference eliminator code, tone code, PL, quiet call). It sounds like you have one radio set with a PL setting and the other one is open squelch (no private line). All settings for frequency and PL code need to be the same between the two radios.

We don't have a manual for the T3, but I am attaching one for the T5, which may be similar. http://www.motorola.com/web/Business/Products/Two-Way%20Radios%20-%20Unlicensed/_Documents/TLKR-T%20series/Static%20Files/T5%20Manual%20EU.pdf

Best regards.

Hi, i have 2 TLKR-T3 and i cant tune it ,so what can i do? and how can i reset it? thanks in advance

Try setting the radio back to a simple mode of operation. Shut off all special features such as the sub-code (interference eliminator code), VOX, room monitor, and call tones. Go to just one basic channel, such as channel one. Then check to see if the radios talk to one another. If not, check your battery packs, as it takes more energy to transmit than to receive. Swap battery packs and see if the problem moves to the other radio. And lastly, get a third radio involved to see if one of your radios is simply defective.

One of my tlkr-t3 walkie talkie's will not recieve.

One of my tlkr-t3 walkie talkie's will not recieve.

They worked fine the first time we tried them out. Then they were put away for several weeks, and when they've been switched on, one now doesn't send. I checked this by the other putting in scan mode but it doesn't stop scanning at the channel it is assumed to send with. I tried all the channels for sending but neither one is detected. The other way around, so the first one in scanning mode, the 2nd in send mode, works fine (the scanning stops at the channel of the sending one, as expected).
So my conclusion is, that one doesn't send.
I interchanged the (fresh) batteries, but this doesn;t change.
So what could be the problem?
