This would indicate a video display card problem. Since the VGC-LT23E is an integrated system; this could be difficult to track down without professional intervention.

I had exactly the same problem. I believe the 2 blips is a warning that the machine is thermally overloaded, and it is protecting itself. I let mine set for about an hour, then it restarted normally. Ran it overnight without problem.

If your laptop appears to boot up and the hard disk LEDflashes, then the problem is probably a back light fault. This can be a faultyinverter or a faulty CCFL lamp. My harddrive didnt ditected and if computer star up load or scan harddrive there is sound bip bip countinuing..

the beeps are post during post the very first work is done by the ram,all the memory in the ram is first transferred to the hard disk, and remains active untill turned off.
make sure that your RAM is securely seated
test or replacing all the leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions + IDE,SATA the ones that attach from your
((motherboard to hard drive))
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty or just replace them they are probably old and faulty ?
hope this helps

Where can I find a motherboard for Sony Vaio VGC-LT23E all-in-one model?

~

If you were to log on to the manufacturer's web site, I think you will be pleasantly surprised as usually one is able to download, by model number, Customer Instruction Manuals, list of Dealers, for spare parts and service, Driver downloads and Installation Instructions as required.

Just Google the manufacturer's name and follow the links. Make certain you are directed to the manufacturer's web site as some search engines direct you to other sites and they charge for the information that is normally free of charge.

I have just browsed ebay and nothing there. Keep your eye on ebay as I have seen them for sale second hand.

I hope this helps.

When I try to switch it on you can hear the processor go on but nothing happens, the screen stays black and then a very loud bip.....bip...bip occurs; and then..nothing else

  1. Check your power cord & adapter.
  2. If its working then check the battery, reseat the battery & check.
  3. If available then check with another battery
  4. If no, then remove the battery & switch on the PC in AC mode.
  5. Check if battery charging indication or AC power on indication is glowing. if not then need to change ur motherboard.
  6. If indication is OK, but could not power ON then check ur RAM for any loose connection or dust. clean & reinstall.

My pc won't turn on at all.

Remove the battery and try turning on the computer with the adapter alone. If it doesnot turn on, its an issue with the computer.

Ok.. MY PROBLEM IS THAT I TURN ON MY PS3 AND IT MAKES THE SOUND BIP..THEN WITH NO VIDEO ON THE TV OR SOUNFD COMING ITS DOES 2 BIPS AND IT TURN OFF AGAIN,,I HAVE TRY TO LEAVE IT ON A COUPLE OF...

lets try a few things bronx,

lets start by going over the beeps and lights. when you power the unit on. it should go Blue and stay blue. this means the unit is so far functioning correctly.

if your unit turns on lights up blue, then yellow , then red and stays red you have an issue

if you are experiencing the first scenario, press the power button till it goes red. which is standby mode.
then press button again till you hear two beeps, let go. make sure you have all your cables plugged in. this will send you to the diagnostic screen on the ps3 to select anyone of your options. since you are not getting a video display select the display settings and reset yours according to your type tv. if you are using a standard old school tellie, then its 480i, if you are on a plasma or lcd it would be 720p,1080i or 1080p. then you should be good from there

okay, if you are experiencing the second scenario its a much more severe issue. the GPU on the motherboard has gone bad, which is common on ps3s. if it is under warranty contact sony and they will send you out a refurb'd unit. if it is not under warranty there are a few good companies out on ebay that reflow or reball gpu chips on ps3s to repair this known issue.

since you are getting beeps and lights this is one of your scenarios. if you get no lights,no beeps then you got a bad Power Supply.

Good Luck!

Toshiba qosmio E-10 noises keyboard and start up

Sound like you have a stuck key and the bip noise is the keyboard buffer pverloading.
If you can't unstick this key, you need a new keyboard.
