By default, Windows does not include a DVD decoder (which is what you need to watch DVDs).
If you are using WMP10: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/plugins.aspx
If you are using WMP11:
http://savvybytes.com/2006/10/02/playing-dvds-with-windows-media-player-11/

Install the codec and you will be able to watch DVDs!

I can help you with the Bluetooth driver for windows 7 but Acer does not yet provide an audio driver for Windows 7 (yet). Click here for the bluetooth driver: http://www.broadcom.com/support/bluetooth/update.php

Click here to see the available drivers for your TravelMate: (Tip: Begin by clicking on, Notebook on the web page - clicking Travelmate - and clicking on model 4070.)

If you found this information helpful, please give me a big thumbs-up when you rate my answer. Thanks.

Hi You can use your windows media player instead, all you have to do is to download the klite codec and install it to your computer..Visit this websitehttp://www.free-codecs.com/download/k_lite_mega_codec_pack.htm

Once your on the page , click and download the Download K-Lite Mega Codec located on the bottom of the page

After you download the klite mega codec to your computer, you need to install it.After installing the klite codec you don't need to use the real player anymore. You can use your windows media player to play DVD

Will it play in some other computer?
Will it play in a DVD-player?

Is it just one DVD that will not play,
or will _no_ DVDs play?

What software (Windows Media Player, PowerDVD, VLC, other) are you using as your DVD-player controlling-software?

What error-message(s) do you see?

Acer TravelMate... | Answered on Jul 09, 2019

When you say play DVDs you mean watch DVD movies? Assuming the drive is not broken you need to use the DVD app. You could use VLC Player which you can download. It's an orange traffic cone icon.

1) Check the settings of your anti-virus program. A lot of times an anti-virus program will not let a program download.

2) The main thing with Adobe Flash Player, is that it will NOT install a new version of Flash Player; with an old version present.

And it will NOT automatically delete the old version.

Use the Adobe Flash Player Uninstaller tool.
Then go back to Adobe Flash Player Support, and download AND install the newest version of Adobe Flash Player.

Adobe Flash Player Uninstaller tool,

http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html

Go down to the bottom of the page, where it states in bold print -
Adobe Flash Player Uninstaller
Click on the blue - Tech note - in the paragraph.

Takes you to here,

http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html

Scroll down to -
1. Download the uninstaller for Flash Player
Click on the blue - uninstaller - underneath the above heading. [Uninstaller (674KB) ]

A small window will come up. Click on Save File.
A small download window will come up.
Allow the file to fully download, then DOUBLE-click right on the file name.

At the bottom of the next 3 small windows, click on Next, Next, and Finish.
If you are not asked to restart your computer, do so.

When Windows loads back up again, go back to Adobe Flash Player Support, download and install the newest version of Adobe Flash Player.

joecoolvette

You got a conflict on your DNS protocol you need to go into your 'command prompt' settings (right click start and click on command prompt ) and enter 'clear DNS' and see if that works.

Go into the device manager and remove the camera. Then scan for hardware changes. It will find the camera and load the required drivers. If, for some reason, it finds the camera but not the drivers, go to the Acer webpage for your laptop and download the drivers. When you install them, just point to that file.
