AEG Ovens - Recent Questions, Troubleshooting & Support

Check the instruction book for setup. I think there is a procedure for startup. On my oven I have to press two buttons at once to get to the menu.

Which model do you have? For the AEG Competence B9820, you toggle the Child Lock on and off by pressing and holding the Selection Clock and - buttons simultaneously until the Child Lock changes state. See . For the BE7314401, press clock and down arrows for ~2 seconds until you hear a chime and the lock turns on or off. has the details.

Please add a comment with the model number for direction specific to your oven. I will attempt to determine if there is a different combination to enable or disable the child lock feature. Note: at least one AEG microwave/grill uses Press "Micro+Grill" once. Then press "Clear/Stop" 5 times to toggle the child lock on and off.

I hope this helps.

Issue most likely with defective electronic board component. Almost ALL models of home kettles are NOT designed to be user repairable. If under warranty, return for repair. If not, you can try opening the unit and looking for a solder gap or other obvious problem. Do you have the knowledge and diagnostic gauge to check the individual bits? My guess, it is a bad chip/resistor/sensor. Component replacement only cure.
